Can anyone tell me how a " reaction " to chlorella would present

itself? I have no way of formally establishing whether I have

elevated cysteine (although a QXCI nutritional scan showed cysteine

levels as " normal " ), so I would need to rely on trial and error. What

could I expect if I react to chlorella - a rash? diarrhea? vomiting?

Thanks,

Sue

Sue, the reaction is complex. If you have it, you can induce it with

any food containing a lot of thiol or thiol-interconvertible sulfur,

or any such supplement. E. g. n-acetylcysteine, or a broccoli and

cheese omelet.

The reaction starts with 1-2 hours of improved sense of well being,

then euphoria, often with greatly increased libido, then you get

tired, lethargic, in particularly bad cases you may have weak legs and

flat facial features, you go to sleep, and then are miserable and

depressed for several days.

Your subconscioius may associate the initial euphoria with the sulfur

foods and crave them, not realizing the later, longer and stronger ick
