Working closely with rural communities in Rajasthan, the design studio develops media material on sexuality and in addition conducts workshops on sexuality issues for rural teenagers. This initiative was started by Lakshmi Murthy, a design professional. More recently, she received a fellowship from the MacArthur Foundation for a project entitled: " Media design to communicate for reproductive health to rural young people. The project examined the self-perceptions of non-literate/literate young people in the rural areas of southern Rajasthan, with reference to their reproductive health. Through the process of workshops with young people, effective and innovative methods of communicating health information were developed that were found to be culturally suited and replicable. We look forward to your participation. Please forward this mail to others who may be interested. Warm wishes, Lakshmi Murthy and Kirtana Kumar " Anasuya Sengupta E-mail: " <anasuya_s@...
