Sauna Protocol-Trudy

Hey Trudy-

I'll recap it the best I can as she has the hydration issue all over the

sauna chapter. Keep in mind that her protocol is specific to FIR, I am not

sure if it applies to other types. Keep in mind that she is an

environmental doctor and so much of what she writes is tailored toward the

very sensitive person with MCS. So, here's a recap, most of it quoted in

her exact words:

Before sauna, vasodilate. Excercise, body brushing...anything to open

channels to improve the outflow of chemicals from tissues. In some cases,

Niacin may be an option. Use tons of towels to wipe off sweat so toxins

will not be re-adsorbed back through the skin. She starts the reader off

with 10-20 minutes daily at 100-110F and build up slowly from there.

Prior to each sauna session totalling half hour is to drink 1-2 quarts of

water, perferably alkaline. This should be in addition to liquid multi

mins/magnesium/coral calcium and tri salts. This step should not be an

option to help get a head start on correcting the fluid and mineral losses

that inevitably occur along with the loss or stored chemicals. For every

half hour segement in the sauna, repeat this protocol when you get out. For

example if you stay in an hour, do this before and after the sauna. She

recommends taking water into the sauna.

She spends the rest of the chapter discussing how to supplement the Phase I

and Phase II of detox pathways. She lists a supplementation program and why

it is necessary ....it's really long. She also has a lot of cautions

including what to do if you get an adverse reaction to the sauna.

And of course, she also highly recommends doing and RBC and Toxic Whole

Blood prior to doing sauna at all. This way, there is not doubt about the

starting levels. I just did my levels and know what my starting point is.

My sauna should be shipping next week. I ordered one that has six ceramic

far infared heaters in it. I really hope to h--- this helps me,

particularly to get rid of the metals.
