Hey Bill, I actually did do an extensive study on BHT last night and I

couldn't find much in the way of cancer. In one study cancer was actually

inhibited and other studies show its antiviral effects. Others have been

taking it for supposed anti-aging effects for 25 years now and some might

argue that if it was cancer causing then we'd know about it by now. Who

knows. The report you posted suggested that BHT may help cancer to spread in

a lung tumor that was already there and in imbred mice. Are imbred mice

inferior genetically? I am not sure what to make of this short article and

it appears they are trying to look for a gene responsible. Not much to go by

there so it could be irrelevant. I also was at the Keep Hope Alive website

which is geared more toward HIV/AIDS patients but as you know there is a lot

to learn from these guys b/c they are the ones who have to worry about the

herpes family more than us b/c it is not HIV/AIDS that kills them but that

they are made more susceptible to other viruses, including CMV which can

cause blindness to AIDS patients. From my recollection last night I read

over an interview that Mark Conlee had with some popular AIDS guy who has

been successful at keeping his AIDS from getting worse and pushing it back to

almost untraceable levels and this guy took BHT and if I recall correctly he

said he stopped taking it b/c there were no more detectible levels of the

certain herpes virus (I think it was HHV6 but I am not sure as I can't

remember). Go to www.keephopealive.com I think it is or do a search for it

and read the interview yourself and you can correct me if I have it wrong. I

am going to try to call Steve Fowkes (head guru chemist guy at

CERI--Cognitive Enhancement Research Institute) myself this Mon and I'll

report to the group what he says about BHT and if it can truly eradicate

herpes. That is what I am after if at all possible is total erradication of

herpes, for me EBV. I also read studies of people being treated for their

EBV (with antivirals such as Valtrex and Valcyte) and majority improving on

their fatigue significantly or their chronic fatigue ending totally. Sounds

good and I don't remember too many here on Exp who had positive herpes virus

and tried Valtrex. I think Valcyte is the newest one and more powerful than

Valtrex but it is only available for those infected with CMV to treat

retinitis. I'm pretty sure I will therefore be trying Valtrex here in the

next few weeks and of course I'll be presenting my thoughts in how I improve

if at all and at the same time I think I will get Chisolm's EBV formula and

will be doing BHT and lysine and maybe monolaurin/loric acid (from coconut),

olive leaf extract, and tumeric--hit em hard with a bunch of things and all

at once. Sound like a plan?

Many researchers credit the use of BHT as a food preservative for the

decline in stomach cancer. I'm not sure if this is because BHT is a cancer

inhibitor or because rancid fats (which BHT prevents) cause cancer.

Apparently there is evidence for both.
