Guest guest
This is slightly off topic, but I can't seem to find the information elsewhere and I know many on this list have knowledge of Isoprinosine (I have taken it myself). My dog has cancer and I'm trying to find information on whether or not Isoprinosine has ever been tested on dogs, as it has been tested on other animals in studies and I'm wondering about its toxicity for dogs. I did find one veterinary website that mentioned Isoprinosine as a possible immunotherapy drug to use after chemotherapy, but the site didn't mention which animals it might be used for. I e-mailed Newport Pharmaceuticals but did not get a reply. Anyone have other ideas? It's funny how many of the supplements recommended for my dog's cancer are the same ones I already take. Anyway, sorry to stray off topic, but nobody on the dog cancer lists seems to know this, and I haven't had luck finding the info. elsewhere. Hang three! (that's from my dog -- who now has three paws since his amputation) Peggy
Guest guest
Isoprinezine is not cheap. There is very little to no evidence it helps with CFS. Suggest you save your money and get Chemo for the pooch. >From: Peggomatic@... >Reply- > >Subject: Isoprinosine: Off Topic >Date: Fri, 29 Nov 2002 23:47:16 EST > >This is slightly off topic, but I can't seem to find the information >elsewhere and I know many on this list have knowledge of Isoprinosine (I >have >taken it myself). > >My dog has cancer and I'm trying to find information on whether or not >Isoprinosine has ever been tested on dogs, as it has been tested on other >animals in studies and I'm wondering about its toxicity for dogs. Guest guest
Peggy, Peggy, I have no idea how Isoprinezine would work on your dog with cancer. I only know that in my case it made my HHV-6 go into reemission. .. I am still using it to try and modulate my immune system and get it calmed down. I wish I had more information on the drug and how it would work with a dog with cancer.I would keep trying to get up with the drug co. ..I had their phone number in Dublin at one time but, my brain has miss- filed it. Good luck with your dog. I have three dogs that I love very much and two of them as getting on in age and having health problems. They are my best friends.
