Guest guest
There's been a lot posted here recently about " abnormal pH " . I thought that some background information on blood pH might be helpful. http://www.usyd.edu.au/su/anaes/lectures/acidbase_mjb/causes.html#metabolica lkalosis This is an outline form of a lecture given at the Sydney, Australia, Medical School. Shouldn't be too hard to follow. For those who want the very short version, many infections cause an acidosis or low pH by triggering the formation of lactic acid. So does heavy exercise, and so does CFS, probably due to reduced exercise capacity. A good short term treatment is 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in water. Don't do this more than about twice a day. ++PLS
