Guest guest
Hi Kathy, I forgot to mention that I alternate the Tea Tree Oil with Myrrh essential oil drops. I should also mention that I only brush my teeth once a day. (That is all I have energy for.) If I had energy to brush more, I would just use the pain Tom's of Maine for the other brushings, since the essential oil is quite potent. According to Dr. Garth Nicolson, gum disease is common in " CFS " and must be treated. I believe it is common in a lot of chronic illnesses. There were some people from another group that I am on who could not tolerate the Tom's of Maine, because of the SLS. I am fortunate that I do not have this problem. The other people just used other brands. I couldn't agree with you more about the importance of watching for these things to reduce the total load. Kind regards, Trudy Hi Trudy- That is a GREAT idea about the fennel and tea tree oil....I never thought about adding stuff to my toothpaste!! That's so great that you have recovered so nicely from gum disease. I have noticed over the past year or so, I am really beginning to have some gum recession. I wonder if that is common with CFIDS?... Hmmmm.....I switched from Toms to Waleda toothpaste a while ago as the Waleda is flouride, harsh chemical and mint free (homeopathy). I too had some bleeding gum issues with the Toms and in my case, I think it was due to the SLS that they use in their products. I am SO sensitive to it and other preservatives that it limits so many products that I can safely use as it all adds up to the total load!
