USAID, the Global Network of People with HIV/AIDS, and the International

Community of Women Living with HIV/AIDS are pleased to collaborate with

The Synergy Project to update the Directory of Associations of People

Living with HIV/AIDS, which was first published in July 2002. We hope

the directory will prove useful to all partners and to the donor

community, and that it will facilitate advocacy and networking among

partners.

Do you work with associations of people living with HIV/AIDS? If so, we

would be grateful if you could please forward this information to them

so that they can be included in the directory if they wish. Associations

can submit information for the directory online at:

www.synergyaids.com/PWA/DataSubmission.asp. Additional information is

available at http://synergyaids.com/announce/PWA_Directory.htm

The deadline for data submission has been extended to Friday, January

16, 2004.

Associations and networks of people living with HIV/AIDS play an

important role in strengthening community responses to the HIV/AIDS

pandemic, doing much to promote effective and appropriate national

responses. Groups of people living with HIV/AIDS have been at the

forefront of prevention, care, and efforts to strengthen leadership at

the community, national, and international levels.
