AIESEC is a unique and growing network of 25,000 students, located in some 800 higher education institutions in 89 countries and territories. AIESEC is the largest student organization in the world and the world's second largest NGO. We work on the lines of youth engagement and volunteerism. We have been working with the development sector for the past 9 years. We have partnered with various organizations like CSR, VANI, Naz Foundation India Trust, Pravah, PEACE, Save the Children. AIESEC in Delhi University has initiated the project Aabhas – " Generating Thought and Action " , through which they will arrange for internships for youth in NGOs working with HIV/AIDS issues. Our aim is to create an environment where students and the development sector working with the issue of HIV/ AIDS can come together and generate a tangible output. The Expected Output of this Project is An Awareness Generation Campaign for the issue of HIV/AIDS. The Participants of Aabhas- NGOs/ CBOs that partner with AIESEC in Delhi University Members of AIESEC in Delhi University Students of Delhi University International Interns The project takes in consideration not only the awareness of HIV/AIDS among the youth but also their active involvement in doing so. The geographical focus area of the project is Delhi. As we a students organization and do not have the technical know - how to dissipate information on the issue of HIV/AIDS. We would like to partner with organizations working with the issue of AIDS and receive assistence from then on the project. AIESEC can provide young international professional and the students of Delhi University who are interested in work on the project. We have already received assistance from Naz Foundation and SHARAN for the project and would like to invite other organizations to partner with us.
