Vijayawada: Workshop on documentation and communication

Dear Forum,

We are Please to inform you that Joythi Welfare Society and

Saathi-Vijayawada are going to organize five days workshop on

Developing Documentation and Communication Strategy on HIV/AIDS Work.

This training workshop will conduct by Mr. Agniva Lahiri consultant

of GNSW+. This is the participatory workshop based on best practice

and toolkit of various International agency and funding organization.

We would like to invite one person from your organization.

The training is designed for the people are responsible for

Documentation and communication related work and trainers who support

NGOs/CBOs. It can be used flexibly, with one or a group of NGOs/CBOs,

and during training workshops or technical support visits.

The training has been conducted in five sections that cover the

concepts, planning steps and skills involved in carrying out

effective documentation and communication work, as well as

Information cards about developing specific products. The types of

products involved include case studies, reports, photo-story books

and newsletters. This training is not about Information, Education

and Communication (IEC) work – which is a program strategy used by

NGOs/CBOs to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS among communities. The

type of products used for IEC includes information leaflets about

HIV/AIDS and flipcharts for training sessions.

The tentative dates of this training program are 16th to 21st June

2003. And it will take place in Hotel Shanthi Vijayawada.
