In Support of the detained PLWHA Conference participants

Dear Moderator,

Social Awareness Service Organisation condemns the inhuman treatment of

detaining 6 of the 15 participants from India who had reached the Sahar

International Airport after attending the People living with HIV/AIDS

(PLWA)Conference at Kampala, At present, the 6 persons including one woman are

all quarantined in a single room at the Yellow Fever Hospital with no food

provisions in violation of the National Policy that clearly states that all PLWA

have to be treated for all opportunistic infections and other conditions.
