Hi CS,

When my stomach is bad and I crave salads I find the radish too harsh.

Manuka honey does nothing for me. I'm from New Zealand and have eaten it for

all my life as I like the stuff.

Live yougurt stopped helping me a good 10 years ago although it did help in

the early stages of the illness.

Just my experience.

Kindest regards,

Annette

CS,

I have been eating fermented vegies with my meals which has helped

my digestion alot. I buy them from rejuvinate foods. I will

eventually make my own to save on cost. Also, Ghee helps..........I

make my own.

Best aid for what? Irritable bowel?

I have found that 4-5 prunes taken every day help.

Hi, Tammy and the group.

That reminds me of something I learned at the OHM meeting last weekend

from a representative of a company selling soy products. I had heard

that eating a lot of soybeans is not a good idea, because there is

something in the soybean that blocks a protease enzyme and thus

interferes with the digestion of protein and absorption of the amino

acids from it. This guy told me that their product is a fermented

protein, and that the fermentation breaks down this antiprotease, so

it isn't a problem. He also told me that in Asia the people don't eat

unfermented soy. They ferment it, as in tofu, so that even though it

is one of the major sources of protein in their diet, they don't have

a problem with this antiprotease. I had always wondered how they were

able to eat so much soy and get away with it, and that's the

explanation.
