Guest guest
This is a great question. Off the top, since I am tired, lets just say I have RARELY seen natural hormones or their metabolites go too high without supplementation with natural ones. I must say this has surprised me in light of all the junk the liver handles. I HAVE SEEN some folks VERY RARELY who are given very low doses of bio-identical hormones like testosterone, progesterone and estriol, who get bizarre high levels IF depleted liver processing agents well known to this band, like NAC, glutathione, Glucuronate/etc, who got this way from 1) Chemotherapy 2) Massive petroleum toxin exposure 3) Very high dose and decades of multiple liver toxic medications The most common are 1) and 2). Guest guest
Dr Schaller: thank you so much for this info. Since I would guess that many of us DO have low levels of the liver processing agents, then taking low doses of hormones might throw us for a loop, even if the lab test did not officially who a high level? (but then, if that happens, we just back up and take a slightly lower dose, I would guess, until we get a benefit without too much of an adverse effect?) I would think, also, that balancing these hormones would be necessary (perhaps dependent upon initial hormone testing results, and where the deficiencies were noted, and what symptoms were present) in order to obtain satisfactory results. Personally, I am extremely low in all of these hormones, and can't help but think that, if they were supplemented carefully and monitored, that this might improve my quality of life (and hopefully my health). But, as you know, most drs do not subscribe to supplementing with bioidentical hormones - Les Rich/hormones processed thru methylation/sulfation pathways? > Are hormones, whether endogenous or exogenous, processed thru either > the methylation or sulfation pathways?
