Guest guest
Yes Barb! I have a girlfiend that just got diagnosed with low progesterone from an IUD (synthetic hormones wreak haoc on the body as I am sure you know). So, because of the low P, she has low thryoid (even though labs are in the " normal " range, but low) and all of the symtpoms associated. SO I expect to see great improvement once the IUD is gone, the ovaries kick in, and the additional bio-identical progesterone. Not everyone fits into a lab range and that is essentially what I have been saying on this board. After my Twins where born in '69 I had terrible breast pain for months I was not breastfeeding and I was given fluid tablets and pain meds...The problem never really went away and I just put up with for too long...v.busy life then..10 years on and many bad spells and some not so I ended up having 6 monthly breast tests at the Hosp because of lots of lumps that likely nothing but...several years of that and then problems with stomach pain and menstral cycle which ended up with cysts on the ovaries...9 months of treatment with progesterone and breast pain gone...heaven.. and I never had any more menstral problems that I can recall until an early menopause. I would not know if I had continued the progesterone if my thyroid condition would not have occurred..There was talk of hormone testing me back then ( late 70's) but it was dismissed for the procedure they said would be 6 months in hospital to get good readings...I find that hard to believe they said that..but at the time I did..it was middle to late 80's that a Dr noticed my goitre...there is sure a pattern here somewhere..
