Guest guest
Call 800 832 3200 and ask for a kit with two SST tubes. If you want to keep money tight use their mailer which can only be sent Mon-wed since 2 day air fed ex. I would get the Lyme Western Blot IgG/M and if fatigue Babesia FISH and IgG/M (the FISH goes in routine lavender tube. If moody/agitated or cigar shaped rash get Bartonella IgG/M. If money available, you might get a PCR on whole blood and that is a different tub and ask them which one. Need a physician to give you a diagnosis and sign off on the order form for IgeneX form that comes with kit. And a credit card to save by prepay. They take Medicare but do not assume will get other insurances to pay anything. Just the reality. You will need a prescription telling the lab to give you two spun sst tubes in which the cells are spun off and you get pure antibody filled serum, and the lavender tube for Babesia if Migraines or fatigue. Perhaps I missed something. Oh yes, if you have antibodies to one fingerprint band protein and symptoms that is a positive. There are nine known Lyme species specific Western Blot antibodies (bands) to unique proteins only seen in Lyme: 18, 23, 31, 34, 37, 39, 83 and 93. Only one of these Borrelia burgdorferi genus specific bands is needed to confirm that there is serological evidence of exposure to the Borrelia burgdorferi spirochete and can confirm a clinical diagnosis of Lyme Disease. This is a CLIA approved lab and perhaps their interpretations at the top are to help stay licensed.
