Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Like many of you I am living on disability income and don't have a lot of money to spare. However, I have about $600 or $700 set aside to get some lab work done. Since that obviously won't cover all of the work I would like to have done, can anyone suggest some lab work in order of importance? I know this is not an easy task, but any suggestions will be appreciated. I just need to start somewhere. My background: CFIDS since 1991 - 15 years - somewhat quick onset, but not overnight like some. Most lab work within " normal " ranges (I know that doesn't always mean a lot) except for immune system tests where items such as CD4, CD8, and ratios were measured. About 1/3 of those results were very high, about 1/3 very low, and the rest " normal " . I don't believe I had any of the tests from Great Smokies or other holistic labs. Factors: Within one month of each other and just prior to becoming ill, I was in car accident where I jammed my chin into the steering wheel and also D & C surgery where I had a hard time coming out of anesthesia. At the same time I was working on the site of a hazardous waste disposal facility. I know that mercury was prohibited from the plant, but other metals were allowed and of course pesticides, and other chemicals. I do remember, to my now concern, playing when I was a kid with the liquid mercury that came out of a broken thermometer. And I still have old silver fillings in my teeth. Rich? Anyone? Thanks!!
