Guest guest
Stress is another word, like fatigue, that is meaningless when applied to CFS. If your immune system is stuck on hyperdrive, of course your " stress " response will eventually become exhausted. If your immune system reacts to many things (foods, molds, chemicals, dust, pollen) -- or everything -- day in and day out, you will begin to experience wear and tear. If you are chronically infected with some bio-engineered pathogen that neither your immune system nor drugs can eliminate, you will become more and more debilitated. As far as I'm concerned, these studies of fatiguing illnesses are the most outrageous thing the CDC has ever done to people with CFS/ME. To say that this is the first big breakthrough for CFS in 20 years is just ridiculous. I read " Osler's Web " , " The Clinical and Scientific Basis of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome " edited by Byron Hyde. I've kept up with the research of Cheney, Bell, Les Simpson, Lerner, Suhodolnik and De Meirleir, Garth Nicholson, Berg of Hemex, Marty Pall, Leonard , Kamarof, Rich Van Konynenberg, Hokama, Kerr, Gow and hundreds of others whose names escape me right now. How stupid do they think we are!!? Vickie
