Safe removal of amalgam fillings?

Dear list,

I am currently putting together a list of (easily accessible) guidelines which

help prevent problems due to amalgam removal:

http://www.nutritional-healing.com.au/content/articles-content.php?heading=Guide\

%20to%20safe%20removal%20of%20amalgam%20fillings

I am looking for suggestions!

Hi Blake...

I'm not an expert on amalgam removal and chelation by any means,

although I had both procedures done 8 years ago, in NZ.

" Safe removal of amalgams " I think of as what the *dentist* does (the

actual removal) and I know techniques have improved since I had mine

removed. I'm not sure what the optimum method is now to minimise the

release of vapours etc.

The nutritional suggestions you have on your page I would think of as

being to aid in the " safe removal of mercury " (to assist chelation),

if you follow what I'm saying.

I did not have successful chelation, my hair analysis showed elevated

mercury and low molybdenum which I think (along with low glutathione)

is about as bad as it gets for going ahead with chelation. So, that

being the case I would have to say that I think it's essential to

address other metal issues first.

Vit C is good obviously.....oh and selenium I believe is pretty

important. My doctor also had me take Co Q10. (Not sure for the exact

reason behind that.)

Not sure if the people using your guidelines will have hair analysis

before their treatment....my sample was sent to Great Smokies in the

USA. Again I can't emphasise enough how important I think it is to

take into consideration the entire metals profile before attempting

chelation, or a person can end up worse off for it, like I have.

I hope this makes sense, I'm a bit brainfogged tonight!

Good luck with your page and I hope you get more input here.

Anne.

Hi Blake n' all

U might wanna add Chlorella, startin in small amounts from 30 days

before, buildin up to a large dose on day of removal, + continuing at

hi dose for next 2-3 months. Also take decent doses of Selenium, twice

a day, away from Vitamin C, for same time period. Little things like

drinking dandelion tea when they can will only help.

If they can organise an intra-venous megadose of Vitamin C +

Glutathione for just before or just after the removal will be of great

benefit 2.

Hi Nil and Group-

Good point Nil. I am pretty sure it was you who posted that years ago before

I had mine taken out and beause of that, I was ADAMANT with my doc not to

vaporize it. I will always be thankful to you for that.

Also too, some docs have stoped using drills and are now using laser. MUCH

more merciful and less traumatic on the teeth.

Kathy

Hi all

Safest and easiest way for me to take the amalgams out was drilling the teeth

just from the outer sides of the amalgam without touching it and taking the

whole amalgam out.I am over 50 so I did not think loosing a bit of teeth would

be more important than taking a risk.My first amalgam removal for 4 teeth was

complete failure and left me mercury poisoned. For the remaining 3, I used the

above given procedure. May sound crazy but just wished to inform.
