Guest guest Posted June 12, 2003 Report Share Posted June 12, 2003 CHARCA, a joint UN project to reduce women's vulnerability to HIV/AIDS will be implemented in 6 districts. The project will have multiple stakeholders ranging from CBOs, Government and UN agencies. CHARCA is currently recruiting the following positions for this initiative. 1. Consultant: Monitoring & Evaluation: Responsible for developing a comprehensive Monitoring & Evaluation (M & E) framework for CHARCA. This will take into account existing frameworks being used by NACO as well as other UN Foundation projects on women and population. The applicant must have Post graduate qualification in management, social sciences, public health or other related fields. S/he should have knowledge and skills in project management especially monitoring and evaluation. S/he must have 4 to 6 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: HIV/AIDS, gender, health, human rights, community mobilization. S/he should have prior experience of developing and implementing M & E frameworks in any development project. 2. Consultant: Communication, Documentation and " Telling the Story " (TTS): Developing a Communication, Documentation and TTS strategy for the project Start the project newsletter and website, build linkages with partner individuals and agencies for the project. The applicant must have Post graduate qualification in social sciences, public health or other related fields. S/he should have knowledge and skills in documentation and communication. S/he must have 2-5 years of experience in one or more of the following: HIV/AIDS, gender, health, human rights, development communication. A prior experience of working with women's groups will be an added advantage. The applicants in either position mentioned above must have a good command of the English language, both oral and written; and knowledge of one or more regional language. S/he should have good interpersonal skills, with ability to work in a multi-cultural environment. A working knowledge of computers is essential along with a willingness to travel extensively. The positions, based in New Delhi, will be on Short Service Contract (SSA), initially for a period of 3 months wherein s/he will report to the National Project Coordinator, CHARCA.
