Bernie,

Have you tried TAgament? If not, do some research on it's ability to

fight many viruses. This info is not publicized because the patent's

are expired and no one can make any money on it, but Dr. Goldstein

(CFS researcher) was convinced that Tagament could cure

mononucleosis in 3 days, but highly frustrated because no one cared.

I've found it effective against short term viruses, and I think it's

Moscowitz who believes it's important in the treatment of SARs. The

only 2 viruses that studies have shown it may be problematic or

ineffective in is Hepatitis and AIDS. But I would keep it on hand,

and some of our people who are infected with fungus and bacteria (at

I & I) believe it's helping the overall effectiveness of their

treatments. The good news, it's fairly benign and over the counter.

The other thing to consider besides viral (since viruses are so

difficult to eradicate) is the possiblity that you also have

bacterial infections that are unidentified. The normal bugs that no

one bothers to test for, yet are known without a doubt to be deadly

in the right circumstances. Bacterial infections can also be

responsible for viral activation, for a number of reasons. One may

be that viruses can kill bacteria. Once a person gets rid of the

bacteria, his viral load often goes into remission again.

And of course, fungal infections are closely linked with bacterial

infections.

Like you I've been tested for LYme (twice by Igenex). Both times

negative with a few equivocal bands. I've also tested negative for

mycoplasma and c. pneumonia. However, I've repeatedly tested

positive for antibiotic resistant staphs, strep, p. acnes, and

pseudomonas. These bugs make me very sick. Staph A. is the number

one cause of bone and sinus infections. When I lessen their load, I

feel much better. Right now, it's a highly resistant pseudomonas in

my sinuses I'm fighting. And according to my ENT (and my overall

feeling of improvement) I appear to be making progress with twice

daily betadine/saline rinses (since no antibiotics can touch it).

I'm going to make another post on one of the many reasons why these

chronic bacteria infections are so difficult to kill.

***Hi Penny - Thanks for the info. I haven't tried Tagamet, in fact I

would never have even thought to use this for a viral infection. I'll

check it out, and also check out I & I.

Take care.

Bernie,

Tagament is referred to as " cimetedine " in the research.

Yeah, definitely check it out. Very low risk and it might actually

help. Could be that reducing stomach acid in a pwc is helpful,

changing the ph to help fight organisms that like acidic

environments.
