UNAIDS 2003 Epidemic Update

Today, UNAIDS and the WHO released AIDS Epidemic Update 2003, a

comprehensive new report on the global HIV/AIDS epidemic in

advance of World AIDS Day -- December 1st (please find the joint

press release attached).

Issued annually, the report provides an exhaustive overview of

current knowledge and understanding of the global HIV/AIDS

epidemic, from global and regional mortality and morbidity rates

and trends, to prevailing financial and human resources gaps in

our collective response to the epidemic to date.

As the report itself and its accompanying material are too large

to attach to a single email, we thought it would be easier for you

to visit the UNAIDS web site and download the information

directly. To access the full version of the AIDS Epidemic Update
