Follow up of AIDS Widow stoned to death in AP

Dear Forum,

This is to advise visitors to the site that my public appeals to the

President of India and the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for explanations in

regard to the reported stoning to death of an AIDS widow there have been met by

total silence.

However, a source in New Delhi has advised me today that " the AP government has

denied the incident.It says the lady died a natural death. "

This matter must be pursued until the truth of the matter if fully revealed.One

would have thought the respective government laders would have hastened to

publicly and widely deny such an incident if indeed it hadn't occurred.

Those who first brought the news to this site need to continue their efforts.

Name the local journalist; obtain his comment to the official denial; check on

what his newspaper has since published.

Those outside India could approach the Indian Embassies or High Commissions in

their own lands for a full statement.
