Guest guest
Hi Fritolay, I'm sorry - didn't realize you replied already, and am having the worst time with this forum. It's really easy to keep posting someone else's post and I don't really know yet how to navigate this great forum properly. Sorry you aren't feeling well. Hmmm. My MSM says it's for the TREATMENT of arthritis and arthritis sufferers use it more than anybody else. I know that bird mites can carry Lyme disease, like ticks can, but it's extremely rare for them to be the vectors, so don't think the worst automatically. I think you are sick because of the stress of moving and having these mites for so long. It's normal to be sick after this much stress. Sometimes you get sick and then suddenly you get better. So if you think you have some mites in your nose, " Gargling " your sinuses for sure, actually, I don't even think I'd use a Neti pot or anything else that can't be autoclaved. Just one more thing to wash, too. I'd just wash my hands well and cup them with whatever you are using and raise my hands to my nose and " gargle " away. Warm salt water? If you use a Neti maybe you can microwave your neti after use it by filling it with water in it until it boils. That should take care of the mites anyway. My sister uses a neti pot, but I swear she gets tons of sinus infections, and I think some kinds of staph can live in a neti, because only an autoclave gets 100% of bacteria. She still swears by it and does put it through the dishwasher, but you can do the " gargling " action without a special pot. Nasal passages are the natural home of staph bacteria. Recently found this out. I personally, would just wash my hands well, and wouldn't want to use something that had been in my nose over and over again. Personal preference. My sister would totally disagree, but does get a lot of sinus infections and I don't. So, I think the Iver will take care of those burrowing mites in your nose pretty soon. What a drag for now though! I think I've feel a real tickly in my left nostril for about a week now which I hope is not a mite, as I am really allergic to mites. I was already getting monthly dust mite shots for two years, and have had these mites for just over two months and this time my dust mite shot blew my arm up like Popeye, except the upper arm, not the forearm. I am not itching today, because the shots do help for a while with itching, but I'm sure I'm getting bit. FritoLay, you are a special person, you help everyone, and I'm sorry I didn't see your reply earlier, but this forum is still a mystery to me. Your cats sound really beautiful. My cat is brown with a black tail tip, like a cougar. She is quite ladylike, unlike me. LOL. My best, Katzy
