Guest guest
We used the CedarCide wednesday pm. We ordered the fogger plus 3 gallons of Best Yet and used 2 gallons. First, I made Neal buy a professional air filter with the carbon filters inside it because the ones they sent with kit didn't look too good for that type of work to me. I made him buy me one too, but he wouln't let me stay in house so I didn't get to use mine. Anyway, first we covered everything electronic (pc, tv, vcr, phones etc.) with towels and wrapped our chandelier with a heavy duty trash bag so it wouldn't get oil on it. The cedarcide does leave an oil film but is non-toxic and easy to wipe up. Next, Neal opened the return air vents on a/c's and fogged both about 5 minutes each. It really filled the house with fog - it was like trying to see through heavy fog while driving. After that, he went through each room and fogged everything in it - walls, carpet, furniture, beds etc. and closed off each room when he finished it. He went through entire house like that and then we sat on the back porch about 2 hours before going back inside. It was still pretty foggy and we could see the fog for several hours afterward. I can't tell you yet if it was completely effective, but I don't see how anything could breathe that stuff for very long without a mask. Dave did not recommend another treatment after this one but I'm sure it is possible you could still bring in some mites from outside and reinfect if you aren't careful. The kit we ordered came with 2 of the 4oz spray bottles and we plan to use them on our bodies before going outside for a few days. The treatment lasts several hours. In fact, Neal used it on his body the night before we fogged and didn't have any crawlies. The next day he sprayed the cars inside with the hand sprayer. He was afraid to use the fogger because of all the electronic equipment in cars and he was afraid they might get damaged. Don't have any info on that part, however, he has not had any bites while in the car before we sprayed it. I have not completely uncovered everything yet but am working on it a little at a time. I don't know if this will work, but so far we really feel good about it. Hope this helps. Joan > > Hi Mel and Joan, > Thanks for replying about Cedarcide.
