Guest guest
Hello, I'm sorry you may have come down with this dreaded skin mess, but if you have just come down with it you may be able to get rid of it quickly. Tonight.....put 1 cup of Epsom salt into one pint of water. After you shower pour that salt water solution over your body from head to toe. Rub it down into the roots of all hair....eyebrows and eye lashes also. Do not wipe off with a towel...immediate grab a hand held blow drier and start getting that salt water dry as quickly as possible. Put the salt water in your ears and nose with a qtip. Be sure and wrap you entire bed with plastic wrap that has been taped securely and put a trash bag over your pillows. Wash every thing you can down with a salt water solution. Make sure every item of clothing and bedding that touches you is soaked over night completely submerged in just water. Then wash everything you can in soap and 2 cups of bleach. If you put the bleach in to the washing machine, let the water fill up to the top and then put blue jeans in to the water they won't spot. If you have a dog, wash him as often as you can and put a final rinse of salt water over the dog also. Have your vet prescribe something called Revolution. This is suppose to be applied once a month on their backs but that won't work with this, it has to be applied every 2 weeks some times every week until this has gotten under control. Vacuum as often as you can.....everyday if possible and vacuum everything...even walls and ceilings. After 2 years of fighting this my skin is now bug free. I wish you luck and don't loose hope. Keep trying...and salt everything you can. Rita questioning if they are birdmites hi my name is tammy and i am questioning if we have bird/mouse mites? We do feel wispy feeling that tickels and i have been bitten several times. It feels like a pinprick the bite dows not bleed though like a moskitoe bite, it looks like a small blood blister. It never turns to a sore it just stays a blood blister or pupule.I sure hope that we do not have this as i know how hellish this must be. We feel the wispies especially around the computer or tv. This just started with us. Any way to check this out to see if we have them? I can not see anything on us or antwhere, i wish i could. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks No virus found in this incoming message.Checked by AVG Free Edition. Guest guest
Tammy: Look at the picture on the birdmites.org website. They are exactly like the ones me and my daughters got bitten with. Can you post a pic of your bites? If you have mites odds are you have a infestation around your house, attic or somewhere. Need to deal with that asap. Don't let it get out of hand like I did thinking it will go away. It gets worse and worse. Most of us are getting help from the epsom salt bath. Google Dr. Hildegarde Staninger and order some her products, das wasser has been very helpful to me, as has the oxeginated cremes. Take this seriously or you will be infested quickly. I ignored it for a while and then I paid dearly as I got attacked one night and found out what hell is like. I also, got sick with flu like symtoms. Lastly, get a good Pest Control gal/guy right away. I went with the first one who could come out and was a mistake. I finally found one who could id the devils and who used the proper chems to get rid of them. All the best to you. Let us know what happens. Guest guest
Hi Tammy, I see that you posted before and no one answered. I didn't answer because I am not quite sure how to tell you whether you have bird mites or not. This forum is extremely informative, if you could go to the website homepage, you will find a lot of info in which will help you determine whether what you are experiencing is similar. From then, you can post back and we would be happy to help direct you to more info. What makes you suspect birdmites versus scabies, or chiggers, or etc? Did you have birds nests, mice? I see by your address that you may have contact with childcare children? Wispies can be associated with lots of things. Are you the only one being bitten? Bird mites and other parasitic mites tend to be unbearable at night esp. Once an infestation goes on for awhile, it just becomes unbearable most of the time. I have a friend whom experiences similar wispies using her computer. Maybe she will chime in at a later date. Mites are drawn to electronics. No see ums are associated with a tiny sand fly in which leaves little blisters. They seem to itch like the dickens for up to ten days depending on the allergic response of the individual bitten. Do you live where no see ums could very well be present? These would be dry, sandy, or mountainous regions. There are some on here whom have been cured, others of us struggle, but all of us are willing to help should you determine you need us. hughgrxtion2002 <hughgrxtion2002@...> wrote: >> hi my name is tammy and i am questioning if we have bird/mouse mites? > We do feel wispy feeling that tickels and i have been bitten several > times. Guest guest
Welcome Tammy. Although I always hate to see another sufferer we will all do what we can to help you. The way I found my mites for sure was right after we sprayed our bed sheet. Either windex or witch hazel will kill any they touch then you can locate them if you look very very hard. I used a strong magnifying glass and a bright light and went over the area my husband sleeps very carefully and I could (barely) even with a magnifying glass see little dark specks about the size of a period. I then took scotch tape and lifted them with it They will stick to it. I learned later to put tape on both sides so you can preserve them as they are. We took the tape to our dermatologist who looked at them through his microscope and said they were mites, although he could not tell what kind. He has been working with us about 2 months now and is very committed but even he did not have much info on them. He told us the last visit that he is learning a lot from us and really appreciates all the things we tell him about the methods used by the people from this forum. I started out not knowing how to read the posts but I just started reading them from the first and found out a lot of info that way after I joined the forum. Good luck to you and don't expect an overnight miracle. It will take time and effort but it can be done. Guest guest
Thank you Joan...I was at a loss for good words. Your advice is greatly appreciated. Tammy, if you do as Joan has suggested, do you have a microscope? You could go to a toy store and get a cheap one for about 30 bucks and a magnifying glass. You can also order cheaper ones on the internet. Or you could take it in to your derm as well. Good luck, and we all will pray you do not have these nasty critters. We have some great posters here, very knowledgable people, we are here for you.jww1931 <joanwood@...> wrote: Welcome Tammy. Guest guest
Tamara- also, a couple of other things you may want to think about right now are- try not to eat things with processed sugars or anything with corn syrup in them- if you do have some sort of mite they seem to love people who eat lot's of sugar and they usually become extremely aggressive / active within minutes of us eating it. Also, don't be discouraged if you can't find any help from the medical community- they do not understand this and 95% of the time they will tell you that this is " in your head " and then they'll send you a bill for 200 bucks (for nothing) anyway... I wanted to warn you about this as nearly everyone I've come across who's dealing with this has had similar experiences with doctors and it can be disheartening and crushing- especially if you were expecting them to help you... AND as Rita said, make sure you keep your home environment AS CLEAN AS POSSIBLE. It is impossible to clean too much or be too clean in general when dealing with these things. I'll pray that you get rid of this early if you have it- hopefully all of the experience that you'll find within this group will help you see to that... God bless- som > > > > Hello, I'm sorry you may have come down with this dreaded skin mess, > but if you have just come down with it you may be able to get rid of it > quickly.
