Guest guest
Hi all. Thought I would report in and let you know we are still hanging in. Mite activity is very minimal past few days and usually only at night. We went back to our dermatologist last week, who is a very dedicated doctor, and he said he would not give up on us if we didn't give up on him. He gave Neal another prescription for Stromectol with 3 refills to take once per week. He also gave him some pills that are supposed to help heal his nerves and make the crawling sensation be minimized. It is a medication that is used for people with shingles, nerve damage from diabetes and other things and it is really helping him rest at night. His directions were to take 3xday but found it made him so woozy he only takes at night and it seems to work well like that. He felt NO crawlies last night so am hoping we are on the road to being rid of them. Our house still smells like a cedar closet from the cedarcide spray but I believe it really helped although it did not completely eliminate them. The epsom salts treatment sounds amazing and I am so happy it is working for some of you. I think we will wait and see if we are going to need it but it's great that everyone is sharing what does and does not work for them. Here's to a cure in 2008!
