Guest guest
When I first came down with this several of my friends wondered about dust mites and if they could be the culprit. I put some thought into it and I don't think that is my trouble. First, I have skin that is strong. My immune system is tough....I'm not even allergic to poison ivy. Also what ever this is has a bite like a mosquito. It's big enough that I can feel movement across my face. No...I think it's a little demon straight from Hell. Rita Just wondering if Has anyone been to an allergist to be tested for a "sudden" allergy todust mites? I was thinking that since these things can't be seen, theymight be the true culprits. Peoples chemistries change all the time. And the little bastards are everywhere. I think it would be ironic ifthis was the case and we're all driving ourselves crazy over somethingso simple. Guest guest
Many entire families come down with this at the same time, including pets (as was our case) If only we had been battling dust mites - in saying that I do think after dealing with this 'thing' that as the 'Solutions from Brazil' post says, that other mites in our environment may also become an issue, because we are hyper sensitive after dealing with this - I almost wonder if thats not the irritated feeling I have left. Also just wondering has anyone experienced a buzzing sensation along with the biting/crawling? I still get that - Feels almost like what I would imagine a fly spinning upside down would feel like on the skin (only a lot smaller) It has a rythm to it, its very weird feeling. For example I have felt it on my knee today, almost ALL day. Just wondered if anyone else has felt a buzzing sensation too? god bless z > When I first came down with this several of my friends wondered about dust mites and if they could be the culprit. Guest guest
Do you mean entire families, like extended families in multiple households? I've been wondering if these are Pyomote mites, the kind that eat other bugs and then reproduce so fast that they also attack humans and can fill houses. These are truly microscopic. I read of one case where a house was infested with them and they found out that there was a certain kind of beetle in the floor boards that the pyomotes reproduced off of and then attacked the humans. The problem with the pyomote idea is that these things seem to live longer than pyomotes. I keep wondering what it is, too. Maybe for me, it's not the rodents. I read of one group of scientists who interbred pyomotes and planned to release them into the environment. They were trying to breed " the right " mite to kill a tree killing beetle, but they found that one species they interbred with the other species was toxic to humans, causing rashes and such. This kind of purposeful tinkering with mites and then releasing them into nature goes on and not many people know about it. > > Many entire families come down with this at the same time, including > pets (as was our case) > If only we had been battling dust mites - in saying that I do think > after dealing with this 'thing' that as the 'Solutions from Brazil' > post says, that other mites in our environment may also become an > issue, because we are hyper sensitive after dealing with this - I > almost wonder if thats not the irritated feeling I have left. > > Also just wondering has anyone experienced a buzzing sensation along > with the biting/crawling? Guest guest
In my case only my immediate family caught this. Nobody else caught this from us. There was another poster whose extended family caught it from them too. That is extremely interesting about the pymote mites. Actually a guy posted an image of a beetle that he thought he had ID'd as the culprit - perhaps that was what he was dealing with (another forum). I am truely afraid of the havic that is being unleashed through 'technology'. I think the problem we are dealing with will only escalate....especially with medical professionals denying it. > > > > Many entire families come down with this at the same time, including > > pets (as was our case) > > If only we had been battling dust mites - in saying that I do think > > after dealing with this 'thing' that as the 'Solutions from Brazil' > > post says, that other mites in our environment may also become an > > issue, because we are hyper sensitive after dealing with this - I > > almost wonder if thats not the irritated feeling I have left. > > > > Also just wondering has anyone experienced a buzzing sensation along > > with the biting/crawling? Guest guest
Hi zmooks,I have gotten the buzzing sensation on my skin at times. I think it's my frazzled nerves firing off by themselves, because I don't feel any bugs, just the nerve going off because my skin has been irritated so much. I believe Joan's husband got some medication to calm his skin nerves. Also, I agree with the posts about hypersensitivity and allergies. I have terrible allergies, and that is probably a big part of my problem.Aloha, myrtle Looking for last minute shopping deals? Find them fast with Search. Guest guest
If anyone is interested, the medication Neal took was Gabapentin 300mg up to 3xday, but he only used it at night since it made him woozy. He took it about 3 weeks and quit about a week ago. So far he has had no more symptoms. Joan Re: Not dust mites Hi zmooks,I have gotten the buzzing sensation on my skin at times. Guest guest
Joan Thank you - I suppose that medication is a prescription. I am avoiding my doctor right now - I dont need any crazy pills:) I am so happy to hear that your husband is doing so great! z > > If anyone is interested, the medication Neal took was Gabapentin 300mg up to 3xday, but he only used it at night since it made him woozy. Guest guest
Yes it is a prescription. It is used for shingles pain and to heal nerve endings that have gotten too sensitive from diabetes and other things. Guest guest
Hi zmooks, I am doing better. My improvement is slow but steady. I have resigned myself to staying on a restricted diet for the rest of my life. I feel much better on this grain and vegetable based diet anyway. Also, I have to exercise everyday. I was told that the grain/vegetable diet and regular exercise alkalizes the body. Aerobic exercise makes you expel excess carbon dioxide and helps alkalize the blood. The upside to all of this is that I am very slender and fit now, and look great in my polyester clothes. I just finished my second round of " parasite formula " that I got from the Ayurvedic practitioner here on Maui. I have had practically no crawling activity for the past week, except an occasional bug strolling through my pubic hair. Rita's epsom salt paste on the pubic hair solves this problem within minutes. If I'm at work when it happens, then I use the Arrid Extra Dry. I found a couple of natural products, produced in Hawaii, that have helped my scalp and skin. I can't recall the names of the products because they're at home, but I can email them later. The shampoo has various herbs including neem, and has to be left on the head for 20 minutes before rinsing out. I only need to shampoo every 2 days. The lotion is made from noni and lavender, and keeps the bugs off my skin. My cats are still somewhat bothered by bugs, but that has been the case for a couple of years. They are okay though. I haven't bought the Cedarcide yet, because I'm dead broke right now. How are you and your family doing? Aloha, myrtle > > Myrtle > Thanks for your insite - I hadnt thought about it in that way. Guest guest
If anyone's interested, the shampoo I'm using, which is a lice shampoo, is called " Koo-dies Shampoo " , made by Pacific Holistics: http://pacificholistics.com/koo-dies.php The ingredients are: castille soap, neem oil, Elder blossoms, Chamomile, Rosemary, Horsetail, Neem herb, Awapuhi Ginger, Vegetable glycerine, Sweet Orange essence and essential oils. It seems to work well. I've been using it for a couple of weeks. The lotion is called " Lavender Noni Lotion " , and is made by Hawaiian Health Ohana: http://www.nonifruitleather.net/store/store.htm The ingredients are water, organic noni fruit, lavender oil, and grapefruit seed extract. It is supposed to have antibacterial and antifungal properties. It's been working well for me. I only bathe once a day, and apply this lotion or neem oil immediately after bathing, and in between baths if I think I need it. I try not to bath too much because the soap dries out my skin. I have used noni for years. It is a popular medicinal plant with most polynesians. It stinks really bad, like rotting smelly socks, but this lavender noni lotion doesn't smell too bad. In the past I've used the noni juice to heal skin problems, dry skin and cracked skin. I tried drinking the juice, but it's too awful. Also, during the height of my bug infestation, I would sometimes spray myself with noni juice after showering, then dry it on my skin with the hair dryer, and that would keep most of the bugs away. The smell will keep most anything away. Aloha, myrtle
Guest guest
Myrtle Thank you for your great post! I had to smile about how happy you feel in your polyester:) I've got to say that now I am feeling good I am also eatting well - we are still on a restricted diet too - I know exactly what you mean about some life changes that will come out of this experience! We are still seeing a naturopath, and are also on our second round of a parasite cleanse. The girls and my husband seem completely recovered from this...my youngest broke her arm last week and has dark circles under her eyes and is rather lethargic so that does concern me. I'm feeling much healthier, just a sort of bugged irritated feeling left that comes and goes. Those products sound good that your using. I know all about Noni, gosh its gross, but wonderful stuff! We are using natural skin care products as well, they also are antibacterial, antifungle. I will be watching what goes in and on our bodies for a very long time - I'm glad that you are doing so much better! god bless z
