Here are just a few articles that suggest that high dosages vitamin C is damaging: 1) http://www.hmc.psu.edu/childrens/healthinfo/articles/vitaminc.pdf - This article suggests that " ... more than about 1000 mg per day may cause nausea, stomach cramps, diarrhea, and possibly kidney stones. " 2) http://www.acu-cell.com/vitc.html - This article suggests that high doses of vitamin C may cause: " Diarrhea, abdominal cramps, high stomach acid, increased urination, insomnia, irritability, joint pains, osteoporosis, headaches, hypoglycemia, weakness, anemia, PMS, may increase infections by causing copper deficiency, reduced estrogen, reduced progesterone, reduced prolactin. " 3) http://www.vitamindeals.info/articles/vitamin-c.html - This article states: " Overdose of the vitamin can destroy B12, reduce the effectiveness of blood-thinners, lead to the loss of calcium, and cause diarrhea and nosebleed.
