Guest guest
This is absolute Hell on earth. The doctors think we're all crazy... I have almost lost my business and we're almost bankrupt from fighting these darn things. The only person that believes that we have a mite problem is our Vet. (Even though we have not been able to get her a " valid " mite specimen. That is ... Something with " Legs " on it.) During our Vet visit today, she gave me some slides as we have purchased a little microscope and blacklight, so hopefully we might be able to get a specimen for her. God Bless her! My 2 cats are being given Iver and this is their second dose in 2 weeks. the next dose for them will be in 10 days as we felt a re- infestation or rather an " explosion " of the mite population within 11-12 days. My only wish is that I would have started them on the treatment sooner. When we all started " feeling " these things, we had just assumed that we had head lice. But after months of treating it and not getting anywhere, I finally realized that we were dealing with something much more sinister. So now it's been almost a year... and we're still fighting. I started packing up all of the useless " what-nots " in the house into plastic storage tubs to help make it easier to wipe everything down everyday. I'm spraying everything with strong Epsom salts water first before I put them into the plastic tubs. Whether or not I'll ever be able to use them again? Probably not. As long as we can get rid of these things... I don't really care. It's just a bunch of " material stuff " . I just don't want to lose my kitties and I won't abandon my home. I will fight these menacing critters 'till the end! We've been using the salts to keep them off of us, and it really works! We haven't had this kind of relief in months! But we have a long way to go before our environment will ever be semi normal again. If it ever will. This has been a permanent life altering experience. I just wanted to thank you all for being here. I have tried to read each and every post and it breaks my heart to see how so many of you have lost so much. You all are in our prayers.
