Guest guest
For those of you whom are considering or are taking salt internally, there are a few things you might want to consider. Table salt is considered to be poison by many forums. They don't recommend doing it. The ocean sea salt one forum recommends contains plenty of iodine naturally, and your body only requires trace amounts in order to maintain good thyroid function. Candida toxins do cause thyroid problems (and many others) because they make all of the body's cell membranes rigid/stiff and when you are killing it off it will increase the amount of toxins being circulated. (Fiber is important here!) Internal candida is capable of flooding the bloodstream with 79 differing toxins. It is why we get so sick when cleansing. (Herx) When body cells are rigid they are less able to receive and utilize hormones, nutrients, etc. and it interferes with the functioning of all of the organs. You don't want to tamper with taking extra iodine since there is plenty in the right kind of ocean sea salts like Celtic or Himalayan. Sally Fallon at Weston A. Price writes that too muchiodine is just as damaging to the thyroid as too little. Dr. Mercola also doesn't recommend taking thyroid meds since your body becomes dependent upon them. A poster lost their thyroid due to taking too much iodine and meds while they had candida. Focus on curing candida and the many toxins poisoning you will normalize, along with many other organ functions. Parasites too. You also need to know that Redmond's Sea Salt does not contain the high number of minerals that true Celtic Sea Salt contains. Moist, celtic sea salt or Himalayan salt is the best. These can be purchased at Whole Foods. Rita, This may answer you queries on why Epsom salt on your skin is helping you. Salt kills fungus/yeast, externally and internally. It is a slower kill, but kill none-the-less. Kill the yeast/fungus and killing the parasites becomes easier. Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Try it now. Guest guest
Thank you, frito, this is great stuff. I had been concerned about the salt and about the iodine. Too much salt can of course increase blood pressure, and I suspect that is because salt absorbs fluids, which seems to me like that would turn my blood into thick sludge, or is there some other reason? Essential fatty acids, the omega Ns, are essential because they do something very cool that may be useful in the situation frito describes here. Once again, I am guessing based on limited lay knowledge, and hopefully you, frito, or someone else who knows can correct this info, however, ... I think essential fatty acids remove the funky sugary and fatty barnacles that collect on our cell walls. Our cell walls are meant to be moist, permeable, flexible. The usual diet gradually fills the tissue in the cell walls with crud, and essential fatty acids somehow get in and clean house, leaving our cell walls healthier over time. For me, essential fatty acids did something amazing for me that I think supports the barnacle theory above. The funny thing is I took evening primrose oil to relieve premenopausal symptoms, that is, night sweats. It took 2600 mg a day to achieve that, and since it is not a drug, it took about 2 weeks for the EPO to kick in. And then it was spring, and a woman who since age 10 had to spend every recreational moment during the spring and fall indoors, stepped out the door to go to work one morning and got into the car--without sneezing, tearing, itching...What on earth was going on? I could breathe. The only factor that had changed in my life was the addition of evening primrose oil. I took it throughout menopause and now only have to take 1300 mg about every SIX MONTHS. I think it cleaned my cells and kept them clean. I've since learned that EPO is not the most favored of essential fatty acids. I think grapeseed extract has the same omega number and bears comparison. It would be nice to have something we could take to clean our cell walls first, before hitting with salt and C. I'm gonna wait and see what our REAL chemistry expert says (frito :-) and then I think this one I may start this week. I have some EPO already... BTW, I have used dinner straws to fill 00 or 0 capsules in the past, one of those is the perfect size, but I also think there may be a funnel that would be much easier. It takes a lot of time to tap herbs into capsules!!! (though for the ones that taste like crap--worth it!) katiejill (livingwithcritters) > > For those of you whom are considering or are taking salt internally, there are a few things you might want to consider.
