Guest guest
I feel a rant coming on........How on earth are these reports going to make people even in the slightest aware of the seriousness of this issue? They are misleadingly very lacking in conveying it. Cannot survive on humans tissues and fluids my ass. Are not vectors of disease......poopoo. Cause just itching and dermatitis but then the spokewomen says with breakdown of skin, it opens the body to other pathogens. In order for that to occur in most scenarios, the breakdown of the skin would then have to be somewhat extensive and a touch more serious than what they are leading the general public to believe. Going back to spreading (vectoring) other diseases, it is in published literature, that Lymes disease is vectored not only by ticks, but by just about any biting insect, and that includes mites. Did anybody even catch that the written article mentioned infestation of the pelvis and chest? The reason 911 was called in the first place was for chest pain? Hello, general public, wake the .... up.
Guest guest
Just letting off a little steam. I became so angry and am quite surprised by it actually..........lol It made me react like a truck had tried to run over me. It wasn't really the denial of the spokeswoman, even my son said it looked as if she was told to say what she did. The fire started after seeing the PHYSICIAN, animated, know it all, and in complete denial.........grrrr......and on television. Anyhoo, thanks for letting me spout, I promise, its more subdued today:) Had a moment that's all. No offense was intended, very glad none was taken. Thanks for being there. Re:The News Frito - Yes, yes, yes - BUT - it's still a LITTLE better than what we were seeing/hearing a year ago. Stories like this never even made the news, especially not followed by a news conference (I'd like to strangle that woman - doesn't pose a public health hazard??? So why did the webmaster from Avianweb write to the CDC after receiving over 1000 compalints of the problem??). When I was told about the story, I researched it and posted links to it on different sites. If you read the comments under the original story, you may see how it escalated into the level of news conferece. It seems Channel 7 may have provoked this; I hope they don't drop it...go to the original story and POST! This issue is only going to get chipped away at a little at a time. Bessie PS - hmmmm...I wonder if we can get ahold of this woman and let her know about a particular disease that is clearly vectored some of the time. Anyone have good research abilities? Guest guest
Ok, I just screamed " BS! " really loudly when that one doctor started talking. Did anyone else want to punch that doctor when she started saying stuff like, when they " change host to human " " they would fall off " ? What a fucking idiot! How would they just " fall off " ? Excuse my language but I do feel this woman has the same IQ as a bird. And " change host to human " , isn't a host is defined as the source of the infection and reinfection? I think we should invite the cast of that news cast to a sleepover. Ok, I'm done. I have pent up anger about the medical community and watching a perfect representation of their stupidity and ignorance ignited it once again. Anyways, hope you are all doing better. I am:D > > Just letting off a little steam. I became so angry and am quite surprised by it actually..........lol It made me react like a truck had tried to run over me.
