Hi Miteyman,

The Mitrol sounds like a good product if there is a connection

between the molds and these mites. Let us know if you use it and how

effective it is. I have tried another anti-dust mite product called

Acarsan and like many products, it worked for a short while but

didn't seem to put a big dent in these things.

I am with you....it would be nice if we could find a Windex-like

product that lasts a long time!

Thanks, Lady Dee. I guess I'll wait a bit more and see if anyone

else has tried it. If not, I'll give it a whirl and let the group

know if it seems to have any effectiveness.

But I am planning to (finally) do a whole-house Cedarcide treatment

tomorrow morning so I may end up waiting a bit for the Miltrol. Or

with any luck, never needing it. ;-)

Hi Miteyman,

The Miltrol sounds interesting. Is it available for purchase yet, or

still in R & D phase? If I understand the product description

correctly, it comprises a silane solution and some windex-like

chemicals (sorry I'm no chemist). The Best Yet from Cedarcide also

has a silane fluid carrier for its modified cedar oil. The reason I

was willing to pay a lot for the Best Yet was because of the

suspension fluid (silane), which I understand to be key in its

effectiveness. So the Miltrol might be the hybrid Windex/Cedarcide

product that you're looking for. In searching the web, it looks like

silane is hard to buy retail, and most of it is made in China.

Thanks for posting the link.
