Have you ever been prescribed antibiotics, specifically doxycycline? Your history suggests a neurological component with lyme. Have you ever been tested for Lyme? What makes you think it is birdmites? Do you have any nests, lots of birds, tree branches contacting the house? Mice? What are you finding in your environment? What other physical manifestations are you displaying?

Anyone experience temporary numbness in extremeties during infestion?

Hi,I am new to this group and to give you guys a little background. I am or was a healthy 29 year old(never any mental health issues as well) and I have so far been infested with I thought were scabies but they appear to be birdmite I am getting the pinpoint redspots and constant tingly sensation of mite movement.About two months ago around the time infesion started I had had two episodes that lasted a few seconds of my right side going numb. Last week had an episode of forearm up to hand going numb.I saw neuroligist and got an MRI, it was normal. I am trying to keep this mite thing quiet because when I brought it up with my primary care physician and saw the derematologist, which by the way did not take a skin scraping or look any closer that a magnifying lens. Said I had foliculitis after showing them the pimple sized bites including inside my ear, then I overheard the doctors

discussing I may have a psychological issue outsde the door. I will get some pics up waiting for my microscope to show up in the mail. By the way Ivermictin and Stromectol helped control and minimize symptoms but does not kill any deeply burrowed mites.

Hi akflats,I have birdmite and i have chronic lyme disease. Yes, your neurological symtoms look like lyme disease, but if you are here it must be that you also have bites or other symptoms of birdmites. You will find help here for birdmite, if u want help for lyme cntact lymenet.org, they can guide you to a lyme doctor as lyme is controversial and the standard test stink!Guive more onfos please!F. Sorry did not mean to double post.

I have had taken most atibiotics throughout my life. I have a family

member that is a doctor and will write me a script for pretty much

anything except narcotics/benzos that is how I got the Elimite and

stromectol.

Yes I have had a rat infestion above my bedroom and those nests need

to be removed. I removed all the other bird nest that was in my yard.

I live in Northern California. I have never been bit by a tic as far

as I know.

I had asked the doctors at Kaiser to test me for Lyme disease and

they refuse and think I am suffering from parapsycosis.

My symptoms are tingly sensation of the mite crawling on my skin.

When they bite and burrow it stings so bad that the top of my scalp

tingles. The mites are mostly inviseble till a week or two later when

they surface as a tiny red dot. It bruises when I try to extract them

also I am getting yellow colored bruising inside my arms and legs the

size of a dime. also small scratches that are burrows.

Can anyone recommend a good Lyme doctor in the Bay Area here. I am

fortunate to work from home but I have been type lipped to friends

and family about this problem judging by the responce I have gotten

from other doctors. I dont want to get locked up I have read some

horror stories of people getting held for parapsychosis(sp?).

I will post pics later today.

I have a clean medical history only migraine headached that is it.

Will your doctor friend prescribe you two weeks of doxy and then test you for lyme? Lyme doesn't seem to show up in testing until after the administration of doxy contrary to mainstream medicine.Bowen or Igenix testing. Are you familar with lyme? Get rid of the rats nests immediately. You will also need to spray after removal. Do you have protective suit and gloves? Throw away your clothes after, don't take them into your living quarter area. Wash immediately after treating.

North Carolina eh? I lived in Winston-Salem for a time.

Please see the home page of birdmites.org. Has many treatment suggestions. There are also many here on the board. They will chime in quickly.

Hi again!Ok, you have mites, i do too. But you really seem to have lyme. I do too.I don't rememver a tick bite, and almost do not. Bull's eye rash is only 50% cases.Standard test is bad too. (false negatif) You do have to go on lymenet and then in "seeking a dr" and ask for a dr in your area. but you say you have an appointment, with a lyme dr???? IMPORTANT!!Do u have money to pay the good test and appointment? Lyme is a controversial story there is lot of actions for that now, you can look the previous post i did give a lot of infos. Also, most of lyme dr now suppose lyme is also given by mosquitos, MITES, all the blloding insect...I believe theses bird mite could have give it to me also and i freak. All normal drs tell people they are freaking to have lyme,

psychosomatic etc, don't listen to them! I went throught this, it was hell as my symptoms went worse!I also have the tiny red dots, samething!I have the same problems with my family, everyone, now i must hide it cause i am sick and if i tell, i will be in psychiatric house and lose my treatmnet.Tell me about your appointment, did u find it on lymenet?A lyme dr?F. Yes my Doctor friend will write a script for it, its on me to get

testing done so I made an appointment for August 12th already to see

the lyme specialist in my area. Does the Doxy help at all with

treatment for lyme or does it make it just show up in a test better?

I already hired someone for the removal of the rats nest tommorow.

I meant to say Northern California my poor spelling and gramar is due

to lack of sleep.

Also I can afford fumagation of my home but I have my mother living

with me she is 67 and she has asthma as well as sleep apnea so I am

concerned about how it will effect her.

Anyone else have any success with Elimite cream or stromectol oral

tablets? It seams as though I was almost symptom free for about one

week before I got reinfested.

I found birdmites.org as well I have done the Epson salt bath which

helped. I tried Arrid extra dry with minimal success.

My biggest problem is my ears right now they hurt and I was able to

rinse them with peroxide and removed a mite.

I am not familiar with lyme disease at all the numbness really scared

me and it seams like no one beleived my episode occured. I dont joke

around about that kind of stuff and have been blown off by all my

doctors at Kaiser.

If you want to see something intresting. That red spot you see the

pinpoint one, I do not have any larger ones. Get a pair of tweezer

and try to yank it out. You probably cant but it will cause a bruise

and the sucker will scab up and fall out. It suprised the hell out of

me since I thought it was something naturally occuring till my other

symptoms happened. It has been on me for a few months finnally coming

off today.

I made an appoitment with a real Lyme doctor and I have money to pay

No, don't take anything, any medication right now. If you have these symptoms, you are probably in stage 2 or 3 of lyme and it will show by the test. The doxy is when you just got bitten, then sometimes it doesn't show in the test...Would you like to speak with me by personnal mail or phone and can help you, giving you the good infos about lyme, symptoms, diagnosis, links and what to do. Just if you want...It would be a pleasure for me to help u about it.F. Re: Anyone experience temporary numbness in

From what I have been able to discern from the resources available on Lymenet and others is that the testing before doxy will show a false negative. There are no such things as false postivies on lyme testing, if its positive for even just a few of the bands, its positive period. For some reason taking doxy prior to testing for Lyme does something to the spirocettes in which the body in turn will develop antibodies to its presence where as before it had escaped the immune system. Upon develop of those antibodies, the testing then becomes more accurate. The body does not develop these if there is no antigen present. When you are tested for Lyme, you will also need to be tested for the known existing co-factors of Lyme, one being Babesia. Prior to aug 12, your appointment with a LLMD, please educate yourself about the testing. Here are a few links to get you started.

"Instead of ignoring these, they should be a red flag to keep pursuing a laboratory diagnosis. Giving patients 4 weeks of antibiotics (usually tetracycline, 500 mg, 3 times a day), will convert a negative or equivocal Western blot to positive in about 36% of cases. "

Yeah Frito, but this is morewhen you just got bitten. If she takes doxy now, she can be herxing very much and it is not the time for her as she has to get rid of mites now. Yeah, you will need to be tested for co infections, as i said i can explain you all this, i became a pro in lyme since i have it. Igenex labs and frylabs, bowen is less better, rarely miss the lyme compared to the "standard tests". Anyway, let's not fight about this hehe!Let me know if u want help.F. It seams as though I was almost symptom free for about one week before I got reinfested.I found birdmites.org as well I have done the Epson salt bath which

helped. I tried Arrid extra dry with minimal success. My biggest problem is my ears right now they hurt and I was able to rinse them with peroxide and removed a mite.I am not familiar with lyme disease at all the numbness really scared me and it seams like no one beleived my episode occured. I dont joke around about that kind of stuff and have been blown off by all my doctors at Kaiser.>> Will your doctor friend prescribe you two weeks of doxy and then test you for lyme? Lyme doesn't seem to show up in testing until after the administration of doxy contrary to mainstream medicine.> > Bowen or Igenix testing. Are you familar with lyme? Get rid of

the rats nests immediately. You will also need to spray after removal. Do you have protective suit and gloves? Throw away your clothes after, don't take them into your living quarter area. Wash immediately after treating. > > North Carolina eh? I lived in Winston-Salem for a time.> > Please see the home page of birdmites.org. Has many treatment suggestions. My husband had good luck with stromectol but he took it 4-5 weeks straight and we fogged with cedarcide about the 3rd week. He had no bites after taking stromectol but still had crawlies for a few days after fogging. We have been mite free since first part of Feb.
