Guest guest
This has been my fear for a long time. My husband is a 100% disabled vet and we are in the VA hospitals a lot. Two years ago was when we first started feeling these things on our skin. The doctor that my husband saw had some type of very strange rash across his face and his nurse had cut her hair very short and had some type of product in it that looked like a thick gel. I only hope that this thing can be killed. What ever it is seems to be spreading fast and military cities such as San Diego seem to have high numbers of the things effecting people. Rita Suggestions from Dallas Morning News. I was doing google searches and found the following (I've seen a Middle Eastern connection in other forums as well and when I got hit there may have been connections to the Middle East):My son returned from Iraq and thinks he brought back biting mites that are infesting his house. He has set off insect bombs and sprayed and mopped with orange oil, but nothing helps. Do you know about this mite and how to get rid of it? R.J., Canton I'm not familiar with such a bug, but here are a few suggestions. First, don't use bug bombs. They are toxic, coat the entire house with chemicals and don't work. Wash all clothing and bedding. Add a cup of hydrogen peroxide and a capful of orange oil to each wash load. Spray the house with orange oil mixed with a product called Plant Wash or a mild liquid detergent. Use 1 ounce of Plant Wash or liquid detergent and 2 ounces of orange oil per gallon of water. Spray surfaces well and then wipe them dry with a cloth. This will help get rid of pests and clean residue left by the bug bombs. (If you cannot find Plant Wash in stores, the manufacturer's Web site is www.soilmender.com.) http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/fea/columnists/hgarrett/stories/DN-NHG_garrett_1123liv.ART.State.Edition1.371f5ae.html
