Sue,

That sounds great. I bet those essential oils

would get the mites out.

Have you ever tried it in your eyes?

Many thanks,

P~

bird mites

Subject: Alkalol

for Nose Wash

This is very effective as a nasal wash:

http://www.alkalolcompany.com/

Have used it with sinus infections for years. An ear, nose & throat

doctor irrigated my sinuses & recommended it for home use.

Made since 1896 (read - tried & true), the ingredients listed are:

Purified water (USP); Menthol; Eucalyptol; Thymol; Camphor; Benzoin;

Oils of Wintergreen, Spearmint, Pine, and Cinnamon; Potassium Alum;

Potassium Chlorate; Sodium

Bicarbonate; Sodium Chloride;

Alcohol

(2/100 of 1%); Caramel Color.

There's a plastic applicator used with it that's much easier than a

neti pot, that you'll find at the link above by clicking " The Alkalol

Store " box & looking through the products. At the bottom of that

page is the " Where to Buy " , which includes CVS, Walmart, etc.

Most pharmacies carry both products, but you may have to ask the

pharmacist since sometimes it's not on the display shelves.

Hope this helps! Best wishes, Sue

No, haven't tried it as an eye wash. For the nose, it can be diluted

by half with water or used straight.

My eyes are infested, too. I've been using an herbal tea as an

eyewash. It's definitely helping. My eyes were completely bloodshot -

looked like I'd been on some longtime binge. The first few times I

used it, what looked like ashes rinsed out of my eyes. Started 2

weeks ago & my eyes are only pink now. I'm in the middle of writing a

post about this herbal tea, which is helping me dramatically in all

ways. Hope to get it posted today. I'm so long-winded, I keep trying

to whittle it down while conveying all I've found! Look for it

as " Stovetop Remedy - 4-Herb Tea " . (Coming Soon to an Infestation

Near You!)

This site has good info on eyewashes:

The baking soda version looks easy. I'd think distilled water would

be okay vs. the boiling they mention. Best wishes, Sue
