Guest guest Posted October 3, 2008 Report Share Posted October 3, 2008 Florida, in most locations, is very wheelchair friendly. In some older places, like St. Augustine, you will have some difficulty. There is a good book called " Wheelchair Florida " written by two women in Florida with husbands in wheelchairs that discusses most (if not all) major attractions, hotels, off-the-beaten path ideas too. My husband and I like staying in the great wheelchair accessible cabins in the Florida State Parks. They are incredible for price and accessibility. The weather is great here now. Cooler in the evenings but shorts/Tshirts during the day. Have Fun!
