Guest guest
Hi!! I saw on the scabies forum that they do indeed put the perm on their face and scalp. So, it should be ok if that is the way you chose to go. Maybe just try a light coating on your face. I am going to try the perm too. I ordered it and ivermectin at a website called magicpharma.com. The prices were reasonable. Good Luck!! holly > > Hi my friends! > > Hope my mail won't be too " out topic " and that i will not botter u too > much again... > > I went on the scabies topix to see if this an match me. > I am not able to find a bird mite and I fould on a scabies website > that the balck " things " we had in the skin months ago can be scabies! > I would never have think that scabies can do crawling and biting > sensations, and that it could be as hard to get rid for some people > like as birdmites! > > I saw a lot of you posted there before. > > Tomorrow is my next extermination. > My bf and i are then gonna go to the mostel for a night. > > I was given permetrin 5% by a dr yesterday ho said he don,t think i > have scabies but in case. > He gave it for two times. > > I know a lot of u all went that way first and that you don't advice > chemicals but i have to try. > But parasited as i am (fund a lice, maby birdmites, maby scabies, > crazy :s)and the fact that i tried tea tree oil before going > sleep, oil, and also sulfur mix and nothing helped, still bitten in bed!! > I maby don,t have human scabies but sarcoptic mites as my cat was > really parasited too... > I don't know anymore....I feel so poor about not knowing!! > > My question is this one: > Should i put permetrin in my face and scalp as i have biting there > too? Guest guest
Fanny, Questions: - Sarcoptic and scabetic mites are microscopic. Did you say you could see yours? I remember you saying you cut one out of your thigh? - Crusted and Nodular scabies are cases in which the person or animal affected would then contaminate the environment? Are yours environmental? Do you have crusted lesions, or nodular lesions? Your cat? - You said your cat was infested. Have you investigated cheyletilia and/or ear mites. Ear mites will actually spread to the area around the ear, especially the back and then can/will infest the coat of the animal if not taken care of. Both are contagious to human owners. Both are said not to burrow but they do. Ear mites can also penetrate to the sinuses. Cheyletilia is often called walking dandruff and appears as white specks on the coat of the animal. - If you are going to treat for scabies, why not the face and scalp? What I never understood is that if babies commonly get them on their face and scalp, why not us adults? Especially if you think it may be sarcoptic. Don't they prefer fur or in our case, hair? If you don't treat your face and scalp, and its not scabies, where do you think they will go? These are just questions for you to consider as I cannot say what you have or what you should do. Wishing the best for you....Frito Questions : a bit out of topic... Hi my friends!Hope my mail won't be too "out topic" and that i will not botter u toomuch again...I went on the scabies topix to see if this an match me. Tomorrow is my next extermination. My bf and i are then gonna go to the mostel for a night. I was given permetrin 5% by a dr yesterday ho said he don,t think ihave scabies but in case. He gave it for two times. I know a lot of u all went that way first and that you don't advicechemicals but i have to try. Guest guest
Fanny, There are bird mites that feed at night and then migrate to the cracks and crevices of your home during the day. That may be why you cannot find them anymore. With treatment of your home it would make sense they might be harder to find. D. Gallinae in particular, although you may find one on you person during the day. NFM tend to stay in the immediate area or on the host. D. Gallinae are little b@# & ^$#) to catch or get rid of. Have you read the homesite web page? Tim has a lot of great descriptions by other people whom have experienced this type of infestation too. I am also wondering if you are another in which is experiencing what they left behind, like so many of us here. I really hope it is scabies and the perm will work. How horrible about your cat. I also experienced something similar with my two cats and I am sorry for your loss. It is horrible to lose our pets on top of everything........Frito Questions : a bit out of topic... Guest guest
Hi Fanny, That's really sad on what you are going through. My thoughts are with you. It will get better for you soon. My derm suggested the permetrin cream, and to use it every 3 or 4 days as my skin can tolerate, to break the cycle of mites and eggs. He gave me 5 refills. I know it's not the best for us. I have been trying everthing to avoid doing this, with some sucess, but no knockout for several months. I am going to start doing this today. I put it on today and covered everywhere, scalp, face, ears, whole body, around my eyes but not too close, NOT in your nose. My pest control officer used suspend and added exicter to the mix. He sprayed all the furniture, mattresses, baseboard, turning them over. It looked like a bomb went off after he was here. He then used a pyrethrin knockdown spray in each room. I had him spray twice and I have used windex knockdowns on occasion. I have been much better off ever since. I was able to catch a few of these by buying sticky tape in the pest section of the hardware store. I then put it around a bowl of hot water, in a quiet room with a black light bulb lamp next to the bowl of water. I cut up the sticky traps and put them all around the bowl of water. I left the room for a couple of hours and came back to a few mites and nymphs stuck to it. It was great to show the exterminator and he also took the one out of my car, which also had them on it. Never had any doubt from him after that. bob > > Fanny, > There are bird mites that feed at night and then migrate to the cracks and crevices of your home during the day. That may be why you cannot find them anymore. With treatment of your home it would make sense they might be harder to find. D. Guest guest
Dear Fannou, I am so sorry to hear about your cat. Many of us have lost our pets or had to give them up because of these $%^* & ^% mites. I had to find a new home for my birds so I know how painful that can be. My thoughts are with you. Guest guest
Hi , Hope you will get better too, Does your 'things' were identified as BM? I read that scabies are 0.5 mm too so almost the same.? I will try to find them as you did but can u suggest where id see them? My floor is wood and dark so it is really hard. Do u see them on ur furniture, coach, table?? I don,t. As you know they found in the other appt, but here, in this appart. we found bugs that the exterminator said "yes it is that" but i'm not even sure, they seem me too big but he says that this is what he usually see as sizes, they were kind of lice shape. You are really lucky to have a good derm. Does she knows about birdmites and believe that, she seems and it's great if she does! What make me doubt of BM is these things in skin that you never had here. I am now in a cofee, i showered my body, hairs, put new washed clothes and my booths and i am parasited crazy! It goes worst and worst! I itch, the crawling is unsupportable and the biting is always the same.I don,t know what to think. But i know i am not crazy. Thank u all to encourage me!! Hope permetrin in the house can kill whatever it is if not bm, or if it is at least a bit! Do u suggest me to pack my clothes in bag for a while and just wear some clothes for a moment..We also go at my family in law next week and i must take my winter clothes, i freak! Afraid they still alive! I even read that scabies eggs live years in the scabies forum yesterday. All these people have crawlings too. My man does not feel a thing yet. Nothing. As i am beside him scratching and going crazy in the bed. I must focus that he wont leave me, but he wants a normal life back and even if he believe me, he is tired and don't feel to make no more effort in that way (he never really did) I love him. I don,t want to use him...( An other thing that make me nervous is whatever i got, when my mother in law (and father in law) brought my clothes and furnitures in their house, she had right after itchy spots, itchy bites that brought her to the hospital and they did even not investigate scabies, they told an allergy to her medication that she had took months before, ridiculous! So now i cried thinking that if she has it or in her house (a lot of hour things are there) then i'll never get rid:((( Am i paranoing?? I mean all this is contagious. But she is ok now this is why i don't freak for her. She knows about Bm symptoms and she would know if she'd feel it. she was ever parasited by this in philipines. But if i'd have listen my bf at the moment he told me " maby it is scabies" i'd maby had a diagnosis. I did not. I wish i did not infected all my contacts even if they seem ok cause then, my life is over! Thanks for your prayers. i take it as a big gift of life! Guest guest
Howdy, My exterminator just looked at them and said Wow, really tiny mites. I had to trap them to see them. I never see them in my house, just in the tub. I'm at the point where it's rare to see an adult in the tub but the water surface has tons of tiny nymphs on it. I sit really still and look for the ceiling light reflection on the water. I can see them then floating on the surface, some microscopic, others a little bigger squirming around, but jillions of them. You'd never see what I have on your skin, they are in it. I did see black specs on my shaved...lol..legs when this all started. I have found 1 or 2 cups of dead sea or epsom salt, 1/4 cup baking soda, 1/4 cup borax and 10/15 drops of teatree oil in the tub pulls them out of me. I soak my hair and use a lice comb underwater occasionaly too. I find the tub best for pulling them outta me, the shower best for washing the surface ones off. I will be driven crazy afterwards,if I dont shower afterward, because they keep coming out for a while after this bath, like is happening to you. I found that if I shower with regular denorex shampoo - with the coal tar, leaving it on a few minutes, stops this after bath crawling. And always spray the tub and floor with bleach solution or windex - even if your doing the humidifier thing. They really do hang onto the tub walls and are still alive and climbing. Everyone keeps commenting on how great my skin looks now, from all the salt scrubbing and coconut oil moisturizing...lol ironic Two derms didn't see a thing on me but believed me and worked on trying to help. bob > > > > Fanny, > > There are bird mites that feed at night and then migrate to the > cracks and crevices of your home during the day. That may be why you > cannot find them anymore. With treatment of your home it would make > sense they might be harder to find. D.
