Guest guest
I'm mortified. My entire career is accuracy-based! This forum talked about doMYownpestcontrol. Walt is from doYOURownpestcontrol. (Caps mine in both names.) A totally different experience. DoMYown hesitated to recommend Bifenthren or even an IGR without a positive mite ID, although they admitted my bird-mites case was made persuasively. They said that since mites are so terribly difficult to get rid of, and since using something that irritates them rather than eradicates them can cause an increase in breeding activity, a positive ID is critical. Naturally I explained that I have never seen one, that people on this site have gone through years without a single sighting. After some conferring, they recommended something called Steri-fab. Alcohol based, so repeated use should not interfere with dehumidifying. Here's the product description: http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/sterifab-gallon-128-oz-p-649.html I'd love to get a sample in the way does--watch for them floating in bathwater--but I have an additional problem: I can't bathe or shower because of aquagenic pruritus. (I swab myself down with alcohol instead and spot-bathe critical bits. Fortunately water doesn't affect face, scalp, and feet, so I can scrub away at each end unimpeded.) Tonight I'll try the method of warm water surrounded by sticky strips with a light above. used black light; others have used IR. I'm going ahead with Home Depot befenthrin for the car. In fact, need to get to that ASAP. ES
