Guest guest
Hi all...wanted to tell ya'll about a lil something I have been trying. I've been running my dehumidifier non stop and thought hmmm, what else can I do to dry it up? Okay, so I've been filling every hole, crack, you name it, I fill it with caulk or putty(sheetrock mud). Anyways, I read the ingredients on the dry sheetrock joint compound...its plaster of paris, limestone or dolomite, expanded perlite, mica, vinyl alcohol polymer, and attapulgite. Okay, so you are DEFINITELY not supposed to breathe it. I noticed how it dries my hands out so much when I sand it after I patch the wall so I decided to put some in my shaker, half compound & half borax. I pulled up the only carpet we have left(in the living room) and sprinkled it between the carpet and padding. I've also been sprinkling it around my house like in the corners, window sills, door jambs(to the outside), on the porch and steps, and in the bathroom after all our showers. It's kinda heavy so I just sweep it around on the floor and sweep it up the next day. THE DIFFERENCE IS AMAZING. Just wanted to let ya'll know what is working for me. The lil' you know whats hate to be dried out! Thanks everyone
