Guest guest
A letter I didn't have the heart to send to my mom:Hi, Mom I am at my wits end with this: up all night every night just picking things off ofme that bite and raise red welts, and itch to drive one insane. This Cedarcide product does seem to really work. http://www.cedarcidestore.com/cedarproducts.html I maxxed-out my last credit availability to purchase two gallons of it because other people on the net had had success with it. Two even were free of the entities, except they had to keep up minimal treatment practices or the irritants returned. It arrived yesterday. I sprayed the whole place, floor to ceiling, with it, all my bedding, me and everything else. I was able to actually get enough relief to go to sleep finally at about 1:30am, which I haven't even been able to do for several weeks now. I have dark circles around my eyes, and wrinkled skin hanging from my cheeks and under my eyes on my face. My hair is so wrecked from the Clorox and Dawn detergent baths that I can't even get a brush through it. I just wrap it and pin it to my head with a barrette. I have sprayed the house, floor to ceiling, and yard (trees, brush, soil, driveway, walks and porches) with 5 different kinds of insecticides and products designed to address and remove infestations such as what I am experiencing. But still, when I step outside my ankles and feet are immediately set-upon by myriads of little black specs which then slide into my skin, bite, and cause swelling and itching. I have treated every single chicken several times with Frontline, Revolution, Seargents Flea & Tick, Enzyme sprays and doused their coops, yards, and nests with various, very expensive, products sold to eliminate pests. Nothing has worked. With the Cedarcide all over everything I was able to sleep for two hours until more of the irritants crawled to the surface of my skin and woke me up. I sprayed everything on my army cot (I had to dispose of my bed and all upholstered furniture. Next goes every item of clothing, towels, or bedding that is cotton. They breed in cotton. Only polyester seems to be too slick for them to nest in.) down again, along with my whole body, and was able to sleep again until 5am this morning. As I sit here and type I am shaking and on the edge of sanity with no clothes left to wear, and no blankets left for warmth to sleep at night because even washing four times with detergent, bleach, Borax, and insecticide does not remove the critters (whatever they are), their eggs, nits, and larvae from my blankets and clothing.Every time I get all the things off of my body and am comfortable, when I put clotheson I am re-infested within the next few minutes and the itching and swelling swarms all over me again. All of my blankets and clothing are piled over 3 feet high in the back bedroom and I have sprayed Raid all over each item, the whole pile, and the floor and room surrounding the pile. I am freezing cold with the choice of remaining so, or putting on a garment filled with attacking entities of some kind. I have taken and done everything the doctors and dermatologists have suggested, prescribed, or recommended, but nothing has alterred or diminished the agony and torment of whatever this is. I have had biopsies and specimens from three different doctors and sent some of my own to the department of agriculture, but nothing has been found. However, I have actually seen little black specs of something (that may be mites) on my arm or ankle biting me, and it has raised into a red welt with all the itching, etc. I am considering calling animal control to come get everything, walking out of here and taking nothing with me. Or just leaving everything to starve which may be kinder than having strangers confine and kill them. I am in debt to the degree to which I am able to charge to credit, I have no money even for food (the animals haven't been fed in two days) and I have no ideas of where to go from here or how to find a remedy or even some longed for solace. I think, from the success I had last night with the Cedarcide products, that if I could afford enough of their laundry, premise, animal, and body treatments I could maybe bring this misery down to a tolerable level. But their products are very expensive. In my last-ditch effort to find some reason, logic, or semblance of balance to my existence/life, I am sending out this letter, not only to you, but to every address in my email, hoping beyond hope that there will be those who may have ideas, or who may have the charity to order and send Cedarcide products to me at the address below, or just simply that they may be alerted to this new and swiftly emerging epidemic, the suffering it bestows on its victims, and the utter sense of hopelessness accompanying it. Hopefully this information might save someone else the torment and agony so many others are now in the midst of. I am also sending this to every news-media address I have, hoping to bring the circumstances of this into the light of public attention so a cure/remedy will begin to be sought. I am asking that everyone who receives this please do the same.....forward this to everyone in your email and every news source or medical source for which you have an address. Help get the word out. Help address the seriousness and devastation that this infestation brings to peoples' lives. I am lost. I am alone, confused, beset with agony, and I don't know where to turn. Willow PS During the typing of this letter, I have had to get up four times, go into the bathroom, stand in the tub and spray myself down with the Cedarcide as literally thousands of things (that I know not what they are.....but suspect they are eggs and larvae of this infestation) expelled themselves, emerged from my pores, dropped off my body, and I washed them down the drain. ----- Forwarded Message ----From: Willow Morningsky <willowmorningsky@...>Sent: Wednesday, October 22, 2008 8:29:37 AMSubject: The New Emerging Epidemic - I am including every media and institutional address I know of orcan find. Introduction: It is my purpose and prayer that this information will spare you from the unfathomable torture and suffering that I have endured for most of the last year. I have had no help from any of the many medical professionals that I sought out for diagnosis and treatment. Five dermatologists, one naturopathic physician, and 2 MD's have misdiagnosed or told me I was delusional (even though my 2 closest friends had identical symptoms. None of the doctors were willing to do any research to find out anything that would help us. I hope from all my efforts that you will not have to lose the time from your life or the thousands of dollars wasted on countless attempts to rid yourself of this plague. If anyone can be saved from this nightmare, then I have created something good out of one of the worst experiences of my life. In this there is healing for me as well as others. What I have learned: Only those treatments that can strengthen the immune system of your skin and body along with interfering in the reproductive cycle of this parasite will work. You must use this life form's own patterns of reproduction and survival to eradicate it. Anything that damages or hurts your skin's own immune system or your bodies' ability to defend itself , repair or heal doesn't work in a permanent way. (For how to strengthen your immune system see Don't Pollute Your Own Stream in Resources) I sent samples of specimens to the Hawaii State Health Department that I caught on clear packing tape (held above the floor over a few hours) and their laboratories called me to tell me that what I had sent them was positively identified as Collembola. They then informed me that although I told them I collected the samples from my new laminate flooring, my skin and my sheets they insisted they do not bite or live in a house and are not parasitic. So much for help from the Health Dept. The adults are hairy and have legs and a whip on their underside that allows them to jump farther than fleas. They seem to inhabit the floor. They are attracted to computers and TV screens and repelled by strong smells. The adults somehow attracted only to certain people. After years of studying I now believe that a different parasite in the scabies family bit us and infected us with a systemic bacteria (something like staff). This bacteria somehow causes a fungus on the skin that attracts the Collembola whose natural role in nature is to eat decaying leaves and fungus. This is why multiple symptoms occur. An insect bites and infects you (like a tick infects). The bacterial infection causes pheromones that attract the Collembola. The Collembola are attracted to the skin and eat fungus. So this is why there is the feeling of something crawling on you that you can't see but that only tickles. Even after the insect or parasite is long gone the other symptoms of crawling (Collembola)and burning itching remain (fungus on the skin). In my case I am not sure if I ever identified the initial parasite that was biting me. We had scrapings and biopsies that showed nothing. I did see what looked like the larvae stage. These had barbs all over them that must have been for attaching to fine hairs, clothing and towels. They are so small they appear to be lint even with a 10 x magnifying glass. If I had not studied closely and compared a few to each other under a microscope (40x) I would have dismissed them as lint. I saw that they all had the same shape and barbs coming off of them in the exact same place. I believe the larvae stages are easily killed by smothering and suffocation on the skin. I used the Arbonne spf 30 sunscreen to do this. The eggs are only killed only when subjected to over 130 degree heat for a long span of time. In other words you have to cook them to kill them. I now believe that the cedar product does kill the eggs which is easier than using high tempeture steam since the equipment required is very expensive for steaming. By studying the patterns of the symptoms I have discovered certain traits that are predictable. 1. It becomes active with the combination of heat and moisture. It does not go into the hair on the scalp or pubic hair. It apparently likes only fine body hair. (Shaving the body has a big impact on recovery). 2. It became active while I was eating or handling food. It is apparently feeding and reacting to blood sugar levels. 3. It uses natural fibers as part of its cycle. (IE Clothing, towels, linens, beds etc.) It also can live and possibly breed in paper and is attracted to it. 4. It comes out of the body, spreads in the environment and then from the environment re-infects the body. This is what makes it nearly impossible to eradicate. 5. It likes clean blood and a chemically unpolluted non- chemically toxic environment. IE healthy people (more females than males) or babies and young children). Many people could be in our environment for 3-4 hours with no bites or symptoms. Those unaffected all were very toxic from cigarettes and unhealthy lifestyles. A local pest control company told us that in the 2 other cases of this they had seen only the infants in a house full of residents were being bit. 6. Besides biting in the bed during the night other symptoms occured probably caused by Collembola during the first rising light of dawn; crawling rather than biting. 7. There appears to be different types of bites on the skin. The ones where we felt the initial bite/prick just looked like mosquito bites and went away overnight with modest treatment. The ones where we did not feel any bite looked like a white head festered and did not heal. These might be the ones coming from the infection inside as apposed to coming from the outer environment. These appeared and became active with heat and moisture and had an intense almost burning intense itching. No amount of even the strongest treatment (prescription Elimite, 5% Pyrethrum creams, enzymes, internet remedies, straight bleach, tee tree and other essential oils, boric acid/hydrogen peroxide etc.) seemed to affect these or stop the intense itching. (Until we tried the steam bath and Arbonne products see Protocol). These "pimple" like bumps would recess into the skin when we managed to dry them up and then re-activate and flare up with heat and moisture, sometimes weeks or months later. They would dry up but a bump would remain under the skin as if they had somehow encysted into the skin. 8. The Collembola, which can jump, and are supposedly the fastest moving of all life forms hence they seem to disappear into thin air because our vision is too slow to follow them. This stage and the larvae stage of the insect that bites I think crawls and are quite east to eliminate with enzymes, suffocating soaps, creams, heat, and physical pinching). The insect parasite eggs are almost indestructible. They have a type of encasement as tough as the impenetrability of a chicken egg, you can literally spray it with everything poisonous and the inside is untouched. Similar to chicken eggs; cooking the eggs kills the embryo inside and also was the only thing we have found that kills this parasite's eggs until we found the cedar product. No poisons; pyrethrum, boric acid, or enzymes, or powders affect the egg. The washer and dryer do not affect the eggs either. We tried towels in the dryer at maximum heat for an hour and the eggs still hatched! UPDATE! CEDARCIDE BEST YET WORKDS! If you order please tell them I sent you. If you are in Hawaii please call me to save on shipping (808-244-0231). We have it in stock and are now distributors for this product! The CedarCide is a product that is nontoxic and you can fumigate your house with it and it works! It is a special formula of red cedar oil, is considered only food grade ingredients and does seem to kill the parasite, the collembola and eggs! The product was developed for the army! The army told them that soldiers were being attacked and made sick by a microscopic mite that they could not seem to kill no matter what they tried. (I had suspected some genetically modified bio warfare brought back by soldiers from middle east) The army admitted not even melethion would affect them. This is the product CedarCide developed for the army and it tested at 99% fatal to the mites. The closest other killing agent was a very toxic substance that only killed something like 19%. That product is the one found in the mite laundry soap being sold on Q-based solutions and is used in hospital detergents (dimethylbenzyl ammonium chloride). The cedar product is used with a special fogger that puts it into a vapor that is lighter than air (the fogger is expensive but you will need to do repeated treatments so get it.) After fogging at night we closed up the house and stayed elsewhere just to let it have time to get into everything. We still found the vapor was a visible fog in the air the following morning. The company pointed out that they discovered that to kill something this small that is surface and also AIRBORNE (this was new news) they had to reduce the particle size of the oil (800x smaller than a drop of water) to reach total saturation. I would have to say that this has been the most powerful help with this problem because if you can't get it out of your environment you will never get rid of it.p class="MsoNormal"> 9. The egg can apparently survive a year as I have observed being bit opening box's of papers that had been treated by a pest control company with powder un-opened since 1 year ago. Therefore merely sealing the eggs in plastic or surrounding them with a chemical pesticide does nothing to prevent hatching. I do not know if the eggs can survive longer than 1 year. My roommate pointed out thru her research that Collembola are more adaptive than cockroaches and some varieties can survive being frozen in the artic or encased in lava in the tropics. We did try putting things in the freezer with no success. Spraying your environment with 91% rubbing alcohol also works until you get the cedar product. Spray anywhere you sit! They sell it cheapest at Costco and Walmart second cheapest. Get a sprayer at Walmart for $1.25 it fits the alcohol bottle. Note* prolonged use of spraying this will hurt you and does not work any where as well as the cedar but will help cope. Please call me for information on the cedar as I am handling distribution of it in Hawaii. 10. The reason this mite is so hard to eliminate is that it appears to reside in the deepest layer of skin. It is apparently so far from the surface of the body that strong poisons applied topically do not penetrate to kill it. Treatments As far as externally on the skin, speeding up their reproductive cycle as with steam baths and killing them on surface of the skin has been the best method for dealing with this parasite. The parasite likes everything our healthy human body likes. Only what is uncomfortable and harmful to us is uncomfortable and harmful to it with few exceptions (which I luckily discovered). Note I found a 500 page book on collembola where one sufferer recommends diet as a way to overcome the internal infection and a few anti-itch solutions. The best one was Bengay. It didn't make the bites go away but does seem to temperarily stop itching. You can go to his website at richard@... It is my theory that the steam sauna works because either the body is too hot to be comfortable to them so they come out of the deeper layers of the skin to escape and can then be killed or it triggers the hatching in skin which brings the worm-phase to the skin where it can be easily killed. Suffocation is the other method that has worked. Interrupting the parasites cycle by suppressing the normal sequence of their life cycle. IE not allowing them to hatch when their eggs are ready to do so. Or it may be that we are suffocating the worm stage as they hatch. I have found only one product that does not harm the protective layer of the skin and still suffocates them. It is a product formulated in Switzerland and made in the US . The 2 products that saved us from intense suffering were the Arbonne International brand BodyWash (soap) and SPF 30 Sunscreen. The BodyWash stops the itching on contact by suffocation and does not at all dry or damage the skin. Wearing the sunscreen appears to prevent both biting from the environment and hatching from inside. The other SPF sunscreens by this same company and other companies do not work! We tried to determine which ingredient was the reason with no success. It appeared that Oxycrelene, a water proofing ingredient was higher in this product than the others made by Arbonne so we found other sunscreens that had almost double this ingredient but they did not work at all. These products ability to do what extremely toxic treatments can't. This may be because Arbonne uses what is called Nanosphere technology in their formulations. This is a medical delivery technology that is quite expensive to produce so it is not found in other personal care products. It is a delivery system that uses small particles to carry ingredients to the deeper layers of the skin. Internal treatment ( See Resources) UPDATE! I now recommend cat's claw tincture and Pau de Arco tincture 2x daily. The cat's claw also works well topically under the sunscreens but must be applied 2-3 times in a row (allowing a little drying time in between. Ivermectin every 7-10 days for about a month also worked and I and 3 others have had no side affects what so ever. We found it at Walmart being sold as a horse parasite medicine for about $1 per 100 lbs of weight. One tube treats 1200 lbs for $12. affect: Paranix Green Black Walnut tincture (Self Health Resource Center) Cat's Claw tincture Mite protocol- Environment You must get it out of your environment at the same time as your body!!!! 1. Call me if you are in Hawaii to try the cedar product. (see Resources). Another option is the Ladybug Steamer This is a sterilization steamer that gets up to 298 degrees in the tank and the dry steam comes out at 198 degrees. Since we have all smooth floors this was the only way we could stop the infestation. Within 2 days there was a huge improvement. I had been suffering as if I were being eaten alive with bites all over my ankles and calves for over a year. This stopped the infestation right away. Our environment was sterilized using no poisons or chemicals. We steamed our cars, shoes what ever was suspect. This is the #1 thing that helped us. (It is not a good as the cedar though because the cedar has a repellant that does repel for many days). If we had not purchased this incredible machine we would still be suffering today. I found it researching dust mites. This was successful in eliminating them so I knew it would work since steaming was the only thing that had worked on our physical bodies. Note* only get a steamer where the steam coming out of it gets up to 180 degrees or it will not kill them and may in fact cause them to increase since they like warm moist environments. After spraying with Kleen Free enzyme from Genesis, Q-Based Detergent and environmental products, and having Flea Busters treat with a supposedly non-toxic powder, we were still completely under attack. I believe this is because none of them could kill the eggs. The enzyme we used on our floors made the skin on our feet peel. The Q-Based Solutions products affected us and we all got respiratory damage from it. We had thick mucous from our noses and were coughing for a week in reaction to spraying or mopping with this product. Not fun when you are already suffering. 2. Get rid of your mattress and box spring. I know this is drastic but after having Flea Busters treat mine, covering it in plastic, steam cleaning it I was still getting bit. I think these are so small they can get thru very tiny tears in the plastic. We all got air mattresses from Costco and never felt the biting from the mattress again. While you have active mites on your skin you have to have clean sheets and blankets every night. If you spend the energy sanitizing your sheets only to have your mattress immediately re-infest them you will not progress. We replaced our cotton blankets with polyester and have only had to wash them once a week since the mites do not seem to like them. 3. Remove all clothing and cloth items that are infected and store in bags until you clean them. Once clean store in clean plastic bags to keep them from being re-infested from the environment. Only wear the clothes that have been treated. Only use the items once and then place them in bags until you launder or treat them. If you put any clothing on and begin to feel anything take it off immediately and put it into the laundry. If you ignore this you will be re-infesting yourself. The mite reproduces or attaches eggs to cotton and cotton blends. It does not seem to do this with smooth silk (as opposed to raw silk), or any polyesters or nylon so we could wear these more than once. I believe that the smoothness of the fabric prevents the attachment of eggs. This discovery was a tough one for us in the tropics since these man-made materials make you sweat in the heat; the very thing that causes the mites to multiply and spread on the body and in the environment. On top of that because of living in the tropics we only owned cotton clothing. We went out to buy temporary clothing made of nylon and polyester fabrics in the thrift stores. It "mite" be a favor to others to discard this clothing rather that putting back in the thrift store bin even after treating, there is no guarantee that treatment kills all the eggs. Please always be careful and thoughtful not to do anything that could possible spread this to another person. 4. Treat all your clothing, bed linens, towels, pillows etc, with bleach or (UPDATE I have not tried it but cedarcide makes a water based treatment to use in the yard and your laundry and it is not the toxic chemical found in Q-based If you live in Hawaii and want to try it call me 808-244-0231) Q-Based Solutions Laundry disinfectant if they can only be cold water washed. Update we found a replacement for the Q-based laundry detergent that cost $11 instead of $100 a gallon. Resturant supply carried it and it is called Clear Pine by Carroll for Hospital and Institutional and Industrial use. It is the same ingrediants. (see Resources). Remove all cloth/upholstery items in your home or treat them by steaming them (See Ladybug Steamer in Resources) it is more prudent to just not have them in your environment until there is no activity on your body for weeks. We are positive these parasites are transmitted by bodily contact, clothing or cloth items and paper. You must soak everything cloth for at least 1-2 hours for the bleach or Q-based detergent or Clear Pine product to really sanitize cloth. Just adding them thru a normal wash did not work. Be sure to double rinse all this out of your clothes. We developed boils on our skin from the Q-Based detergent being left in our clothes. We thought if we let it in the clothes it would work better. Even one rinse still caused the boils. Boils on top of the bites was a nightmare. Putting them in the dryer did not work for us at all! Either our dryer is not hot enough or it does not kill the eggs, and may even hatch them. Spray your lint screen with enzyme and be sure to remove the lint each time you use the dryer. Put the lint in a zip lock baggie and leave it near the dryer so you remember to do this. You can iron your clothes and sheets but would need to be careful that the heat goes through enough to kill anything. The Ladybug comes with a steam iron you can purchase that can sterilize your clothes. The steam coming out is pressurized and thoroughly penetrates the cloth. In addition, you will never use a regular iron again, we got very professional results with less effort that an electric iron. (Update do try fogging your house with the Cedar product it penetrates all cloth and carpets!) If you have carpets steam clean them and or saturate them with food grade diatomaceous earth (DTE). Steam clean your car seat and rugs and saturate them with food grade diatomaceous earth. (Lesser grades of DTE can cut your lungs like asbestos) Do not forget your seat belt. Steam it and saturate it with DTE.( All three of us were re-infected after being over this for weeks with our seat belts.) Treat your hat rims, back packs, purse straps and shoes with steam and then DTE also. It does work and it acts like glass and cuts the adults and so helps to stop the cycle. Look around and think of anything else that could cause reinfection. (The backpack straps and hat bands got by our radar until we hade bites in those areas enough times to make the connection. Have you're friends help look for these items, you will skip over them when you have been surviving on little of no sleep while being literally eaten alive. 5. Papers It took us a long time just to believe that these monsters are very attracted to papers, filing boxes etc. You can put your papers in your oven at low temperature (hot enough that you can't touch them to kill the mites in them. Be sure and watch the papers, take them out if the corners start to brown; the eggs are "done" when the paper corners are starting to turn brown! Burning incense and candles near your computer or television will keep the mites from biting you. UPDATE this is why I am sure the cedarcide works because after using it I can finally type this with nothing jumping on me! Physical Body protocol: 1. Buy Arbonne BodyWash. (See Resources) After trying everything you can imagine (see list of what did not work), I realized that this mild soap kills them! Your skin is part of your immune system, it is created to keep out invaders, keep your internal organs safe, breathe and eliminate toxins. It is the largest organ of elimination you have. Just as things you consume hurt your internal immune system things you do to your skin hurt its immune system. Your skin creates a layer to protect itself from invading microbes. Most soap strip this completely off. You know you have done this when your skin feels tight and squeaky clean. When you use these stripping types of soaps what you don't realize is that it then takes @ 24 hrs for your body to re-create this protection. In the mean time, your skin is unprotected with what should be the first line of defense and is exposed to environmental damage, bacterial microbes and mites. The soaps and poisons that are being sold to kill these mites work in the moment but make you more susceptible to having them tomorrow! Also do read up on how this PH correction works for healthy skin. You will want to keep you're skin in "beter than ever" condition even after the mite invasion is only a bad memory. It was explained to me while trying to use the products from Q-Based solutions for mites that the products all worked by suffocating the mites. I realized that a product did not have to strip and ruin the health of your skin to do that. I looked like I had aged 30 years from the drying affect of their products. Because of this damage I began using the Arbonne BodyWash that someone suggested directly after Q-Based products to try to correct the ph of my skin and heal the damage. One day I decided to see what would happen if I just used the Arbonne. To my amazement it worked better on the mites and did not hurt my skin. It in fact healed my skin! The wash does not suds unless you use the puff that comes with it. Just squirt one pump on the puff and work it into a lather with your hand and then apply it by scrubbing your entire body. If you are not sensitive enough to feel what is active scrub for 10 minutes, rinse off and re-apply and then let dry on. Leave it on for as long as it takes to stop any signs of activity. You can shave using it as a shave cream while waiting. If areas continue to show activity after washed off just apply more wash and leave it on longer. It stops all activity on the skin. Do not leave it on for longer than a short while after and if it dries on your skin or it will make you itch. You can buy online by clicking. www.com To get it cheaper, I signed a year membership ($29) to get my products at 35% off. * You can also sign up and get the 35% off thru my link. This is MLM but I am not doing it as a business and do not get paid anything at this time on what you buy. You just can't buy at all without coming thru a sponsor. (See Resources for more information if you cannot buy online) One body wash lasts for 3 months even used 6x a day if you use the applicator it comes with. I was using other brushes and realized that they were not fine enough to remove the eggs and larvae. The applicator scrubby that comes free with the wash is perfect and it is not a natural fiber. You can not use any natural fiber brushes or cloths because the mites will breed in these. * We replaced our large bath towels with small white easily bleached terry cloth rags we found at Costco in the auto washing department. This allowed us to use a new one each time we bathed and will lessen the number of loads you will need to wash. Be sure to bag used rags after use. 2. Buy Arbonne SPF30 Sunscreen (See Resources) UPDATE! We found another sunscreen that works evern better but is very costly. It is called COTZ spf 58 by FALLENE. It actually works to get rid of the lesions and dries them up even though it appears to be moist. It suffocates the best because it forms a thick coating and dries. I used cat's claw first then a thick layer on the lesion and some would be gone overnight. Since this is so expensive I only did spot treatments with it. It stains but they can be removed with Costcos Degreaser. The second greatest relief was when I found the Arbonne Sunscreen that acts like some sort of repellant. I normally swim in the ocean every day and noticed that I did not seem to have any activity on my body when I had my sunscreen on. It seemed to not only stop activity but prevent the biting all together. I began wearing it all the time as protection from my environment. I tried all the other levels of sunscreen by this company and they did not work! Only applying the SPF 30 worked. After studying the ingredients I realized that it had more of one ingredient that was moisture barrier than their other sunscreens. Thinking it had to be the key ingredient that worked I found 2 other sunscreens that had 10% of it instead of 7%. They did no work at all. What I learned is that Arbonne uses a very expensive technology in their skin products called Nano-Sphere technology. This is a delivery system (only usually used in Pharmaceuticals) that allows their ingredients to penetrate into deeper areas of the skin. They used microscopic particles to carry other ingredients deep into the skin. It costs a lot to manufacture products this way bit they discovered it brought measurable results as far as healing skin. I realized that this was why these two Arbonne products worked on the mites. The key in them is getting deep into the layers of the skin where the mites are. You will need to put this in a continuous film on your body and then re-apply to the spots that are bites so they have a thick layer on them. . Re-apply each spot to heal it as many times a day as possible. It is easier if you apply the sunscreen just after toweling off when the skin is still moist. It tends to go farther and is easier to get it to spread in a continuous layer. Do the bottoms of your feet too. Thefungus coming out thru my skin caused what looked like rust stains on my sheets and clothing. You can't remove the stains with any amount of bleach or stain removers but it comes out instantly with a product called Wink for colored fabrics sold at Longs Drugs. 3. Shave your body except head and pubic hair. The mites do not go on to the hair on the head or into the pubic hair. We have observed that they like areas on the body with finer hair. Keeping the body shaved showed instant results. It is either because shaving removed all eggs that scrubbing misses or it some how makes skin less attractive to them. Be careful not to nick or damage the skin while shaving because the mites seem to take advantage of the tears in the skin and enter there. You can use the Arbonne BodyWash as a shave cream while you are bathing. Not only does shaving help you to be cleaner it also saves money on the products you use to treat and cover your body. (IE to saturate a short nap carpet would take less quantity than trying to saturate a shag carpet) 4. Buy Tincture of Benzoine Compound (See Resources) I had tried everything else and found this in my medicine chest one day. I had it because it was recommended for turning blisters into calluses. It is actually a remedy for canker sores in the mouth. It has a strong disinfectant in it that does work on the bites. It has Balsm of Peru which is a mite medication from South America . * note I tried the Balsm of Peru by itself on the bites previously and it did not work although I continued to put it into the clay I was making. The Benzoine tincture without the Balsm does not work. You can get the compound from Longs Drugs or Longs.com UPDATE! I think that the Bengay works better for itching than anything else. Longs makes a cheaper muscle rub that is the same ingrediants as Bengay but is stronger and works better. 5. Buy New Skin Liquid Bandage (See Resources) This was such an important find because it helps to block the parasite cycle. It seals the active bites so you don't re-infect your environment during the day and while you sleep. This re-infecting the environment is why this is so difficult to get rid of. The problem goes both ways. The body infects the clean environment and the infested environment re-infects the clean body. You can get this at Longs or any drug store. Get the larger size and the smaller size so you can refill the smaller bottle from the larger. Leaving the lid off while you use it makes it evaporate and get thick and unusable. Keeping a small amount in the smaller bottle will save you money. You can use the liquid bandage over the sunscreen or tincture on problem areas. The tincture is sticky, so you will find that putting the liquid band aid over the tincture will keep you're clothes from sticking to you're body. UPDATE I found that the spray on liquid bandage is far better if you can find it. 6. The AromaSpa -Personal steam bath unit (See Resources) This has been the most helpful for eliminating the mites that are reproducing in or on the skin. The steam sterilizes your skin. These units are pricy but are one of the greatest remedies for all health conditions there is. Steam baths with essential oils was Hippocrates (the Father of Medicine) most recommended treatment. You will use it for the rest of your life and it will extend your life! It plugs into any household outlet and uses distilled water. I have had one for 10 years and it has always functioned perfectly. You can use it daily to deal with sports injuries, sinus problems, colds, arthritis Just to name a few. It will also strengthen the immune system and relax you. It is a form Tai Kwan Do (martial arts) on the mites... Since 100% of the time the mites became active during and just after sweating we used this to our benefit. By controlling when the hatching took place we could then easily kill the larvae on our skin with the wash and sunscreen. This is far superior to having them hatching and spreading while you are at work or school away from a shower and with no time or place to treat anything biting, crawling or itching. The Steam bath must be 130 degrees to kill the mites. (It is interesting that when we are ill the body naturally heats up to this when trying to kill off bacteria and pathogens that thrive at our normal 98.6 temperature). We stayed in the steam bath 10 minutes from the time it reached full heat. We used an essential oil in the steam that is called Immunoboost (See Resources) but you can use what ever you like that strengthens you. I also like cedar or lavender oil. We took our temperatures to see how hot we were getting internally. We were ranging around 103.6F. One of us was getting up to 104.6 F but I think this is not safe and not necessary. Take the Arbonne Body wash scrub puff that comes with it or any fine nylon puff or nylon exfoliating scrub gloves (they have them at Longs Drug Stores or Wal-Mart) in to the steam bath with you. Scrub to kill hatched mites anywhere you start to itch until you don't feel any activity. Put the most infected parts closest to the steam to heat them. Careful not to burn your skin. This will not help your problem because it will weaken your skins own defenses. Because anything comfortable to you they like it is beneficial to get so hot that your heart starts to pound to kill them. Stay in the heat as long as you safely can. Note * Be sure to check with a doctor if you have any conditions that would make it unsafe for you to do this treatment. The more toxic you are physically the less heat tolerant you are so you may have to start out with a lower temperature and less duration. Use Arbonne Bodywash immediately upon coming out of steam bath to suffocate anything left on your skin. Cover every inch of skin with a thin layer to seal it. We did this as we stepped out of the steam bath because if something just hatched because of the moist heat and the heat did not kill it, you do not want it to go into your environment on the way to the shower. We just left the soap on for a few minutes while we cleaned the spa which saved time and also gave the soap time to suffocate the mites.7. Help your skin's immune system Get in the ocean or a lake and get lots of sun and fresh air on your skin. It strengths your immune system which is what your skin is -- part of your immune system. The ocean is revitalizing for the skin; it is what was in the womb when you were forming. 8. Clay Treatment After purchasing very expensive clay products from Q-Based, I finally made up my own. I chose ingredients based on lots of research on what would kill these mites. The ingredients and instructions are as follows: (Most can be found at health food) Neem oil essential oils of lavender (wild) essential oils of cedar essential oils of rosemary essential oils of tea tree (Melaleuca brand is best) MLM but don't join cause 1 bottle lasts for years) (See Resources) Balsum of Peru (See Resources) Camphor Hydrogen peroxide Borax washing powder Dissolve Borax into peroxide until it won't dissolve any further because peroxide is saturated. Pour this into another container and leave behind any not dissolved Borax. In this mixture of peroxide and dissolved borax put 5 drops of each oil and mix well together. Mix clay into this mixture a little at a time and stir until all lumps are gone. Pour more of peroxide if needed to make very consistent clay. You can use this on bites if they do not respond to the other treatments or if they continue to ooze. Once they are dried up resume the other treatments. 7. Menthol (See Resources) I read on one of the sites that mites hate menthol. I found this very strong menthol cream for sports injuries called Deep Relief by Health Core Inc. I got it from a chiropractor but you can call them and find out who carries it near you. The Arbon menthol product worked very well also. Before we got the Ladybug Steamer and got the house environment sterilized I would put the cream on my feet and legs to keep them from jumping on me. It works and instantly stop itching too. It may kill the adults and larvae, but I know it does not kill eggs. Nothing but boiling the eggs kills them. This is so strong that it will burn your skin if used on sensitive skin. You can mix it with another non scented cream for use on delicate skin. Also worked very well mixing the menthol with the Arbon sunscreen, that was the double whammy to the mites! One of the problems with this skin disease is denial. If every member of the household does not earnestly get committed to doing everything they can to get rid of the problem they will be continually re-infesting the environment. The problem will continue unless every person in the environment makes the effort to get rid of it on their person, in their possessions and in the environment. An attitude of just ignoring the problem in the hope that it will go away will only because the other members involved to suffer needlessly for much longer and is an extremely selfish attitude. Believing that something of this nature will go away without committed effort is like believing that a cockroach infestation or ant infestation will go away even when it has an unlimited food supply. In the case of these parasitic mites the human body is just that… an unlimited source of food FOR THEM!
