Guest guest
Yup. I started feeling sharp stings in my hair line and i though maybe the rats are giving them to me cause we noticed them itching. The week after I took them in for their first ivomec I started getting biten. No crawlies just stings. J. From: Pamela <pamelab@...>Subject: How it started for mebird mites Date: Monday, October 27, 2008, 2:33 PM Interesting. Mine started badly this May and the biting was non-stop until I moved out of that apartment at the end of June. I also infested our new house, but it has no carpets and with the dehumidifiers, I can tell that we are at the end of this mess. It is so nice to have stretches of feeling “normal” again! Did anyone experience random bites for months prior to the full-blown infestation? I believe this started from the pigeons that inhabit the campus where I worked. I would get random bites on my feet at work. When I left for Mexico last Xmas, I returned after 3 weeks hoping the biting would have ended, but I was depressed that I still experienced random bites on my feet from some invisible bugs. When I quit my job to complete my book at home, I think the mites moved in and took over my apartment. Before that I was never home. When I started writing, that is all I did, so they had a captive audience. Plus, I never unpacked one box I brought home from work until June, and then I found black spots everywhere! I just through the whole thing out along with so much of my life. Anyway, it really makes me want to tell people not to ignore random bites! Maybe they are cultivating us with their food – bacteria, fungus. Are the mites planting them in us like they are growing their own gardens? What else could explain all this junk coming out of my skin? I have to use a lint roller sometimes after leaving the ESP soap on me. Anyway, I don’t see as many black spots these days, I am seeing small white grains of sand like Adam and also white wormy things, especially from under my fingernails. I clean my fingernails several times a day. They are so sneaky and hang on so tight, I need a sharp file to get them off. Anyway, I am curious, did anyone start out with random bites, like one every few days over a couple of months? My infestation started mid May of 2008...I did not move out until the end of July. The PCO treatments really didn't do too much... and the infestation just took on a life of its own...that is why I got to the point of throwing as much as I could out. I was that desperate. I really thought if I moved I would only have a few mites to deal with...but the new apartment was just as much as a nightmare as the old...that's how badly infested my other apartment was... I started out fogging my new apartment twice... one week after another and that is when I realized that no amount of poison was going to kill these things. I knew farmers used DE to get rid of mites from their chickens (which is their LIVELYHOOD.. .they need to see results right away or they are out of business)... so that lead me to DE. Guest guest
Yes, I realized I was getting bit here and there for months before the creepy crawly sensation and feeling of being infested finally set in. > > Interesting.
