YES!!! And looking back it pisses me off! Please tell your

mother not to worry. Did she

tell them why she wanted to see the doctor? Can she bring the

results to her doctor's office now... He will take a quick look & if

there is something that needs immediate attention, they will call.

I had a doctor do this to me right after I had my first baby... I went

through mammograms & questionable results... when they finally pulled

in the "expert" he did everything to keep from laughing....

He said "You had a baby when & you breast fed tell when?" It

made me loose confidence (though I do believe in mammograms). I have

had other friends go through similar experiences...

Just don't let your mother (or you) get too upset... I think they

over react. (I guess that is a good thing when it turns out truly

bad)

Let me know how things go. My prayers are with her

another one this morning and the technicians (who are unable by law

to diagnose her) looked at this morning's test with a radiologist

present and told her to "Take the results to a doctor immediately."

What in the hell does that mean? I know next to nothing about

mammograms, being that I'm not even 30 yet.. is this kind of thing

normal? My mother is very worried & upset and her doctor

can't even

see her for a week. Anyone have any experience with this kind

of

thing?

Can the Doctor review her results befroe hand? At least that way

he/she would have some answers for her. Let her know I will be

praying for her.

If they told her to take it to a doctor immediately, they could have at least told her why! This same thing happened to my mom a few years ago. The doctor had her so shook up she was making her final arrangements. It turned out to be lots of fibrous cysts-not harmful but she's supposed to go every 6 months to get it checked.

Jaci...hun I know it's hard but don't worry. My mother

is pretty young (45)and 4 years ago she had a bad

mamogram. They even put her through a biopsy and it

turned out to be a cyst. You and your mom are in my

prayers but I'm sure it will turn out just fine.

I agree. If this is her first ever mammo, it could have just picked up some

old stuff that had been there for years. If it's not her first but just an

annual, it then has to be compared to an older one to see if there are any

changes.

X-Ray techs, as well as many other medical personnel (nurses included) like

to err on the side of caution.

If there *is* a difference, the next step is either a repeat mammo or

possibly a needle biopsy to see if it's just a cyst or something to

investigate further.

Just keep calm, go through the paces, and let us know what's happening.

We'll all keep our fingers crossed for her.

Jaci I will be praying for your mom and for you. God will give you the strength to get through this. Hopefully it isn't anything. And they will find out that soon for you both.

God be with you
