Guest guest
Im going to be starting day 1 again.. I weighed myself this morning.. Ive lost 8 pounds in 2 weeks and 2 days.. Its a start.. Its already 11am here and i havent eaten anything.. I had to go out early this morning and by the time i got back i was soo hungry i was afraid to eat.. Has anyone else ever felt that way.. I am even more hungry now.. But i feel like if i eat now im going to binge.. so im trying to hold off til lunch time.. I did the 1mile get up and get started leslie sansone yesterday.. and im going to do it again today.. I have to work tonight.. 8pm to 9am That is going to be the real test.. I usually get something from the vending machine.. I try to make better choices.. but those snicker bars call me to me about 7am when im soo hungry.. my weekends are soo hard cuz i work crazy hours.. I will get off work sat at 9am and go back at 6pm that night.. so i basically come home..eat then go to bed.. which probably isnt good.. Hmmm maybe i could bring something to work for breakfast eat that around 6am.. then i wont be hungry before i go to bed.. that cuts out on my snicker bar and the big breakfast before bed.. but what could i take to work with me?? We do have a microwave and a fridge.. Any suggestions??? Please?? Ok Im done rambling for now.. D ---------------------------------

Its a start.. A START? That's *excellent* . Way to go! You've lost a small bowling ball! Its already 11am here and i havent eaten anything.. But i feel like if i eat now im going to binge.. so im trying to hold off til lunch time.. I did the 1mile get up and get started leslie sansone yesterday.. and im going to do it again today.. Good to see you motivated! Quick, drink some water! It'll take the edge off your hunger. Then *EAT*. If you're really, really worried that you might go overboard, go out -- but make sure it's somewhere healthy. Go buy a 6 " Subway Sub if you have to -- all the veggies, turkey, no cheese or mayo! > > I have to work tonight.. 8pm to 9am That is going to be the real test.. I usually get something from the vending machine.. I try to make better choices.. but those snicker bars call me to me about 7am when im soo hungry.. my weekends are soo hard cuz i work crazy hours.. I solved this by taking my own snacks in ziplock bags -- carrots, pretzels, popcorn (No Orville!), soynuts or tupperware containers of pineapple or other fruits in their own juices. I will get off work sat at 9am and go back at 6pm that night.. so i basically come home..eat then go to bed.. which probably isnt good.. Any healthy leftovers around? > > Ok Im done rambling for now.. > > D K. 303/294/140-
Guest guest
> Im going to be starting day 1 again.. I weighed myself this morning.. Ive lost 8 pounds in 2 weeks and 2 How much faster do you want to lose? This averages to 4 pounds a week - something that is even considered too fast for most medical experts, but the first week or so's loss is usually a lot of exces water. > Its already 11am here and i havent eaten anything.. I had to go out early this morning and by the time i So now you know you should eat *something* at a decent time every morning. You have to get yourself into the routine of healthy eating. Skipping meals is the most dangerous thing you can do to a weight loss plan. >hungry now.. But i feel like if i eat now im going to binge.. so im trying to hold off til lunch time.. WHY, for goodness' sake!!! EAT something!! You should be planning not only 3 meals a day but three snacks to go with them. Before lunch you should have already eaten breakfast and one of those snacks. >I did the 1mile get up and get started leslie sansone yesterday.. and im going to do it again today.. Make sure you eat something first, or you're only going to make yourself sick. You can't run an engine on no fuel. > I have to work tonight.. 8pm to 9am Are you normally on the overnight shift? If so, then you're whole schedule should evolve around that. Breakfast before you go in, a healthy snack and luch to take with you, and when the rest of the world is eating breakfast you should be eating dinner. I did the night shift (rotating shifts weekly, actually) for almost 15 years, so I know how hard it is to function when your circadian rhythm is all screwed up. Now, going back to the above when you said you hadn't eaten at all yet - are you coming off the night shift so this morning was your after-work time? If so, then you should have had your dinner, not starve yourself. If you're inbetween shift rotation schedules and you worked days or evenings yesterday, then I'm totally confused as to what meal it should be, but you still should eat something every 3-4 hour when awake. >I usually get something from the vending machine.. So bring decent food in with you and that eliminates the temptation of the vending machine right there. >bring something to work for breakfast eat that around 6am.. then i wont be hungry before i go to bed.. Now the lightbulb goes off over your head. >We do have a microwave and a fridge.. Any suggestions??? Please?? Your grocer's freezer section has all kinds of breakfasts now, and there's always a bottle of juice and instant oatmeal. Like those soups in a cup that you only have to add boiling water to, look in the health food aisle or prepared foods or soup aisle and you'll find a selection of hot cereal ones, too. And who says it has to be hot? Bring in a container of dry cereal if you prefer and a container of milk. Or a hard boiled egg. Even leftovers would do for you, since it's actually your dinner time for this 24 hour period. Have a small dinner at 6am and another one tonight before you go in, eating lunch in work both shifts. Some of the best times hubby and I had pre-kid were when I would be getting off the night shift and he was going in to his regular day shift and we would share a pizza for breakfast. Eat what you like, but eat *something*! LOL Sue in NJ who never has to be told twice to eat
Guest guest
A good way to look at starting again...is practice and we all know that practice makes perfect. So you are not really starting again, you are practicing and you will practice until you are perfect. > going to be starting day 1 again.. I weighed myself this morning.. If so, then you're whole schedule should evolve around that. I only work overnights on weekends.. Friday nights 8pm - 9am and Saturday nights 6pm to 9am. So all week im on a regular schedule then the weekends its totally off.. Ive been doing this for 2 years now you would think my body is used to it. Your grocer's freezer section has all kinds of breakfasts now, and there's always a bottle of juice and instant oatmeal. I think im going to hit the grocery store before work tonight.. i have some things to bring in for dinner.. I might pick up cereal or a frozen breakfast.. I guess I will just have to look and see what looks good for the night.. btw.. I ate a grilled cheese sandwich on wheat bread with fat free cheese and a lean cuisine dinner for lunch.. I dont want to eat to much today then not be able to eat tonight.. does that make sense?? its like i have to cram 2 days into 1 but i dont want to overdue it.. Thanks for all your advice.. Guest guest
first let me say WHAT A GREAT JOB YOU ARE DOING! Yes I have been scared to eat before to... But its not practical. Don't starve your self because when you do finally eat, your so hungry that often you eat too much, Go with what your calorie card says. Bring chocolate pudding with you so you can have that instead of a snickers bar. Bring something that you think that you can handle instead of the snickers... Sit as far away from the candy machine... Eating right before you go to bed isn't good the food just sits in you and doesn't get digested good. Bring fruit, lite chocolate syrup, dip them in it. Bring a lunch to work. Remember you are trying to eat health... DON'T STARVE YOURSELF!!!! That won't make you stay on the program.. Guest guest
Thanks .. I didnt make it to the grocery store before work like i had wanted.. I brought my water bottle and I think i left some applesauce here from last week.. so i will have that.. they cut my hours at work.. so instead of going in at 6pm tomorrow im going in at 9pm.. so i lose 3 hours... They also cut my SO's hours at work by 8 hours a week.. This isnt working out like we planned we wanted to be able to save more money before we move and it looks like we are going to be struggling with that now Oh well I will just have to readjust our finances and see what we can come up with.. Guest guest
>>Hi ! We're the same age I hope your surgery goes well. Willyou be able to exercise after it's done? Yeah they said after a couple of days I should be back to normal. I am trying to decide when I want them to do the surgery. My dad is coming down from Mass the week of the 26th of June and on July 1st we are supposed to be driving to Florida and meet up with my mom, sister and uncles so I am probably going to wait until I get back from Florida>>Oh my gosh. A decluttered house...with children? *giggles* I'msorry, it's just that my house pretty much always looks like a tornadojust ripped through and I swear it's because of the kids. I had mandatory overtime at work for about 2 weeks working from 8am to 9pm, you would think it would stay clean but I was so tired I couldnt do anything. It coming along my living room now looks better than I had hoped so it gives me hope for the rest of the rooms.. lol >>My highest was 338 last June, though now thinking about it, I mighthave gotten a smidge higher while pregnant (was on full bedrest anddepressed...not a good combo for an emotional eater). Anyway, whatgot me going on my journey was trying on size 28 jeans at Lane last September and not being able to button them. I could have criedin the dressing room. Instead, I bought the jeans and swore I'd fitinto them within a month or two and set out to exercise and eat better.<< I am in a 26 now have been for as long as I can remember but they are getting really snug and hard to button up I refuse to go a size higher.. I will just suck it in until some of this weight starts coming off <<At one point or another, someoneelse has gone through the same thing. It's just good to know we'renot alone.-Bonnie338/268/258(mini-goal) Yes it is good to know we are not alone. It has helped me out alot.
