Guest guest
I'm wondering, do cooked foods get trapped there more than raw living foods? I don't know, but am going to try to research it out. I would suspect that meat, cheese (especially melted cheese) and sticky sugary foods are more likely to get trapped in the colon than grains, fruits or veggies (raw or cooked). Also, if people would chew their food extremely well, trapped food could be reduced substantially. Just my take.... Gloria
Guest guest
This makes sense to me. I am thinking (strange, I know)..... Our bowels have all those convoluted pockets in them. Undigested food gets trapped there and spoils. I'm wondering, do cooked foods get trapped there more than raw living foods? I don't know, but am going to try to research it out. Just my thoughts at quarter to five this morning. Guest guest
Also, if one is going to eat meat raw one should not eat it with anything else and should not eat anything else afterwards for up to 4-6 hours. I just saw a tv show on digestion and they said that fruits take about 2 hrs. to digest, veggies a little less than 8 hrs. and meat takes 3 DAYS! Meat isn't really digested. It just rots in the system. Even mainstream nutritionists admit that. Gloria
Guest guest
Actually it's more like 30 minutes for fruits to move out of the stomach. I'm not sure how long it takes for fruit to actually be digested but it isn't long. They usually recommend not eating other foods within an hour of eating fruit because the fruit isn't totally digested and could ferment and cause gas. Guest guest
I suppose your probably right about this Gloria. But I wonder, cooking veggies breaks down the cell wall and pretty much makes it into mush, unless slightly steamed. I propose that cooked anything will plug up the pipes. Meat will just ferment raw and rot cooked. However, raw is better for you than cooked any day. Also, if one is going to eat meat raw one should not eat it with anything else and should not eat anything else afterwards for up to 4-6 hours. Otherwise it will create a real fermentation problem.
