Guest guest
I'm sorry too, LIsa. It sounds to me like they had something to hide. But better to move on and get well. Make sure you get the op & path reports! And you might want to consider finding another plastic surgeon for followup, but that is entirely up to you. I probably would. That guy/his office just sounds scummy. > > > > > > I had my surgery to remove my saline implants this morning. > During > > the time of consultation, they said I could take my implants with > me > > ( and it is even in their paperwork). Guest guest
Thanks Sunny. I am feeling ok. I do not have a lot of pain and when I do, Tylenol helps. Guest guest
Rogene, I am feeling pretty good. Tylenol helps with any pain that I have. I am hoping to go see him on Monday to get the surgical bra removed and see the file before reporting him about not giving me my implants back. I am also hoping that they have just been misinformed about FDA regulations and they are not being dishonest with me for some reason. Being misinformed is no excuse but it is better than lying to me. Also, I really don't want to make them angry just yet because I want him to remove the stitches and the bra so I will not have to search around for another PS and pay someone else yet more money. I have already had to pay him out of my own pocket. I can't really afford to pay someone else right now. Rogene S <saxony01@...> wrote: They are soooooooo full of it! . . . I'm sorry! Guest guest
, no matter what happened to your implants, you now have a new lease on life! I'm extremely happy for you. I am approaching 1 month post surgery, and have all kinds of hope again. It sure feels great. I know it'll take time to heal from the emotional scars, as well, but it's going to be an enjoyable journey. I'm really excited about all the new veggies I'm trying and fruits, as well. I didn't realize how many whole grains there are! Life will get better and better for us. Lots of Love, Sunny -- In , funx2sweet <funx2sweet@...> wrote: > > Thanks Sunny. I am feeling ok. Guest guest
well, it wasn't the piece of cake I thought it would be... Either the anathesia or the morphine made me sick...so I was in alot of pain and nauseus both... makes a great combination... the throat was swollen and I could barely swallow and had to stay till Friday.(they would not let me go if I couldn't keep food down)..they let me go once I got orange juice down. They were scrambling to figure out what to give me for the pain and swelling... and they all kept saying "most patients go home the next day after this surgery" And then on Thursday, my blood pressure skyrocketed to like 190 and I had a temp of 105.. so every 2 hours they were in checking - it would come down some but not much.... I'm terriby sore... they finally found a drug to help with pain. oxycodone or something like that...in the hospital they would only give me a couple drops every 4 hours. I look like the bride of frankenstein... with 11 staples and a cut the length of my neck... I go Fri to see the doc and find out what exactly happened.. I do have a metal plate I'm told.. Shoulder blade is really pain city... and my head feels like it wants to fall off.. Can't do anything it seems...other than walk (not that I feel like doing much) There is a bright side... I think I've lost weight.. lol but I don't recommend this way to anyone. It's Monday and this is the first I've felt like looking at my computer, and wanted you all to know I'm okay... will write more as I progress. Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts. Guest guest
Omigosh, Suzi…I’m so sorry the surgery didn’t go as well as you’d hoped. Be very careful with the oxycodone – it’s *extremely* addictive. If you have any Arnica in the house (homeopathic remedy for trauma and bruising, shock to the system, and anesthesia), take it ASAP. I’m sorry I didn’t think to tell you to take some *before* the surgery and to have it in the house for after. Love you! Might helpkeep you from taking so many meds. DO NOT use any ice packs on it. Coldwet towels yes but no ice packs. The ice will slow down the healing toomuch and may even keep healing from properly occurring. If I think of any more bright ideas I will pass them on to you Suzi.Don Expecting? Guest guest
Suzi - I had a C-section and had the pockets of gas that caused shoulder pain, too, and the nurse would take a bath towel, fold it up and put it in the microwave for a minute, then put that against my shoulder. Just a minute (or less, depending on the microwave) shouldn't leave the towel so hot that it would cause bleeding into the tissue or fluid to pool in the tissues. Be careful, though, I was heating up a towel like that one time for my dd's stomach ache and set the towel on fire, LOL. Sorry to hear about the pain you're going through. Sending much white light your way! At 04:59 PM 1/29/2007, you wrote: >my girlfriend is taking me to HFS tomorrow (i think) to find >arnica. Guest guest
It never is as easy as you think it will be. Almost everybody gets nauseous after a major surgery. Usually they will give an antiemetic (anti nausea) medication with the pain meds, but you may have told them you didn’t want it before surgery, which is your choice, and you are a braver woman than I. I’m thinking the shoulder blade might be referred pain. Your head will feel steadier as time goes by and I promise it won’t fall off LOL. I am absolutely thrilled the tingling went away, that is what I was most worried about. Love ya, Janet From: health [mailto:health ] On Behalf Of Suzanne Sent: Monday, January 29, 2007 6:59 AM kkozlowski@...; mrspiggy2u@...; capawa@...; health Subject: my surgery well, it wasn't the piece of cake I thought it would be... Either the anathesia or the morphine made me sick...so I was in alot of pain and nauseus both... makes a great combination... the throat was swollen and I could barely swallow and had to stay till Friday.(they would not let me go if I couldn't keep food down)..they let me go once I got orange juice down. They were scrambling to figure out what to give me for the pain and swelling... and they all kept saying " most patients go home the next day after this surgery " And then on Thursday, my blood pressure skyrocketed to like 190 and I had a temp of 105.. so every 2 hours they were in checking - it would come down some but not much....
