Suzi!!!!

I am so glad you are back! Sorry to hear it was not as smooth as

expected, but what is. Please please remember to take it easy and

heal.

The shoulder pain sounds just like what I had after my stomach

surgery a few years ago. And that's what they told me too, that it

was pockets of trapped gasses. It does disapate eventually, but is a

booger while it's there.

You are in our prayers, on the list, at home, and in my prayer group

at work. Lots of healing energy coming your way!!!

Peace, love, laughter

>

> my girlfriend is taking me to HFS tomorrow (i think) to find

arnica. The drs nurse said some of the pain in my shoulder blade

could be pockets of gas that are trapped yet... wonderful// as she

wonders what else..... I found out I can go for a 20 minute ride..

I'll find the arnica ..

oh Janet, theystuck so much in the iv's ... anti nausea, etc.. trying to help me out..and could notfigure out why if I'm in pain am I not using the morphine..I did have a few ask me about my "tonic" that I would be able to resume when I got home (super tonic).. lol. I think a few may just try it. As for the residual pain.. it can leave anytime.. driving me crazy...feels like a hot prod...poking me. Both shoulders are weak and ache.. one more in the blade and one more in the arm.. My neck is still swollen and partially numb... Swallowing is a bit better but still needs help. - water chasers... I know it has only been a week but I'm impatient.. Found I have to take the pain med at night to sleep,, Last nite it was 2:30 3;00 and I was hurting, uncomfortable, etcc... was not going to sleep or resting.. I knew there was something I was forgetting to take since been home... remembered it this a.m... my complete nutrition... so

started that also. For the first time yesterday since last Wed.. I did have a small bowel movement... which was a good thing... even though I'm not really eating... the fruits etc should help this..... trying to get back to regular in all aspects.Janet Hamilton <dragonhealing@...> wrote: It never is as easy as you think it will be. I’m thinking the shoulder blade might be referred pain. Your head will feel steadier as time goes by and I promise it won’t fall off LOL. I am absolutely thrilled the tingling went away, that is what I was most worried about. Love ya, Janet Suzi What is a weed? thanks and all the people with you... I don't know if i told you this or not.. but when the doc came in the next day... I looked at him and the first words were "you lied to me"... my DH and nurse just stood there... lol... Doc looked at me - stopped dead in his tracks... and said "i don't like to see you like this either, most of my patients do go home the next day." Even took my hand and held it for awhile as to comfort me......I could see in his eyes he was hurting with me... DH told me he likes him... not only does he seem to care but he has a sense of humor too. He was teasing my husband and wanting to know where I found him... So then he and the nurse started brainstorming as to what they could give me to help me to go home. It's hard to believe gas is causing such extreme pain isn't it?? That just baffles the mind.deuteronomy2929

I'm praying you won't have to go through the continual residual pain for

the rest of your life Suzi. This is what I go through every day and was

bluntly told by my neurosurgeon to just learn to live with it. I am

praying mighty strongly that you won't have to suffer through that.

Yes, I have learned to live with it now for 10 years but it still hurts

day in and day out and some days it is really quite bad. No I take

nothing for it.

Peace be with you Suzi.

I agree! You need total relaxation - I was so surprised to see so many posts from you. You must be tuff girl. REST is what you need.

Love,

Kathy

Suzanne - GET OFF THE COMPUTER! I'm sitting here reading all these posts you're doing and I can feel my shoulder blades getting tense. No wonder you still have pain there, I'm healthy and I can feel them working to keep my hands in position and keep my arms where they belong.

We love you and honestly, we're big kids and can along without you for another week or so. I would rather not hear from you for a while and have you in good shape for the upcoming growing season, than read things from you now and re-injure yourself.

GO HAVE A LIE DOWN!!! Got any cds with meditative sounds? Put that on your head and chill out woman.

I love you and need you around for a long, long time!!!

Peace -- Shari

Sweetie pie, you seem to be forgetting that you have had MAJOR SURGERY!!!!!!! Of course you are impatient and bored to tears, but it will get better.

Hmmmmm...can you get some book tapes to listen to? Watch all of the old Sam Elliot movies again? Some external distraction that will occupy part of your mind without having to take concentration?

Yep, those pain killers are really hard on the bowel movements. Make it

really tough. Do increase your fibrous foods and make certain you are

getting plenty of water.

Hang in there Suzi, you'll get better. Just be patient and take your

time healing. Believe me, allow yourself the time.

I'm so sorry that things didn't go as planned. Hope you will be feeling better very soon. Give it some time and the swallowing will get easier. It took me a couple of weeks to get that back after my surgery. I'm really glad to hear that you're on the mend and hopefully the pain will be on it's way out soon. In the mean time I have a candle lit for you and you are in my thoughts and prayers. Feel better soon dear.
