Guest guest
May I ask what your diet is like? I'm sort of movin on to a macrobiotic sort of diet currently, trying to go with the season until it's easier for my body to take a strict candida cleanse again. I'm a vegan. No sugar, sweets, desserts. I eat A LOT of carbs...rice, millet etc., beans (lots of hummus), sometimes bread, whole grain cereals, some pasta. Lots of veggies both raw and cooked. Also sometimes fruit, mostly apples or a banana. In the summer I eat more fruit than I do in thw winter. I have been macrobiotic and still eat that way occasionally. I think it's a good diet but you have to cook a lot and I don't always do it. I still drink coffee sometimes (decaf) but other than that it's water, herbal tea or veggie juices. I never drink fruit juices...to sweet for me. I don't like drinking real sweet things. I put unsweetened soymilk on my cereal. Some nuts, ground flaxseeds and flax oil. I eat a fair amount of miso soup. In fact all my soups are seasoned with miso, not salt. Gloria
Guest guest
Eczema. Get or make a dye and fragrance free cream or lotion and use it every day after you bathe. Look at your laundry detergent and soaps and things and try to start changing them to skin friendly items. If this doesn’t help, do an elimination diet because some foods can cause allergic people to get itchy. Janet From: health [mailto:health ] On Behalf Of Anne Sent: Saturday, February 17, 2007 6:08 PM health Subject: rash help? Hello Friends, So I've got a bit of a rash on my arm. Iv'e had a little itchy, bumpy patch of it for almost a year now, and recently it has started spreading. (slowly slowly slowly) but keeps itching and getting scaly. I have had people say they think it's excema, and I wonder if it's a parasite infection like scabies. I've used some oregano oil on it topically, and also some black walnut. The black walnut has helped dry it up a bit. IT is red/pink, rather bumpy and then the older parts get scaly. But not white like psoriasis. Any thoughts? I had hoped blackwalnut would have helped a bit more...
Guest guest
Gloria - That's what I wondered too. I got a pretty bad vaginal yeast infection in the beginning of January as well. I went on about a 5 week diet - no sugars, no fruit, no white starches, no wheat/gluten and no yeast. I pretty much ate steamed veggies, brown rice and other grains in moderation and some meats. I also took oregano oil, probiotics and a health food store anti-candida blend that I purchased. I stopped that and have eaten some sugar since, but the flare up didn't coincide with stopping the diet. SO i'm wondering? I also have itchy times during the evening mostly, where i feel like my skin is crawling in areas. Not sure if that was related or not. May I ask what your diet is like? Guest guest
I have been under quite a lot of stress lately - mostly emotional stress so I wouldn't be surprised if this flare up is corresponding to that. I've been drinking a ton of water, and have done a 5 week anti-candida diet. I'm now moving more macrobioitc at this time. I am sort of feeling like I need to do a juice cleanse though....to reset my taste buds etc. I " ll check the files, and i'll try plantain as well. It bothers me most in the evening - > > Hello Friends, > > So I've got a bit of a rash on my arm. Guest guest
Thanks Janet. I " ve been using an aveeno oatmeal lotion, and it seems to get worse when I use it. Perhaps another trip to the natural living centre might be in order to get something a bit more moisturizing and natural? It seeme dto " dry up " and crust a bit when i used one application of black walnut tincture. > > Eczema. Get or make a dye and fragrance free cream or lotion and use it > every day after you bathe. Guest guest
Have you tried a fast of any kind water or juice... to see if the condition improves... Black walnut usually cures most rashes, ... this could be a yeast overload... can you do any cleansing? Suzi ps lay off the grains for awhile also.. just do green veggies, fruits.. for a few days and see what happens.. Anne <sarahlovell@...> wrote: Gloria - That's what I wondered too. Guest guest
Thanks Gloria - Do you eat very regimented macrobiotic? I've just started cooking with sea veggies etc, and am working on understanding the yin/yang bits of things. I am liking it, although I do enjoy meat and dairy. Although, I think i am working to limit the amoutn I eat...especially dairy. Any ideas/thoughts/suggestions on my start would help@ Thanks gloria for your input! --- In health , MorningGlory113@... wrote: > > May I ask what your diet is like? Guest guest
Yes, that is fairly typical of eczema. Commercial lotions have a lot of artificial fragrances, which make them smell lovely, but are not good for allergic skin types. When I am having a bought of itchiness it is always worse at night. Guest guest
THank you Janet - It doesnt's eem to be spreading fast, but when it does, it has little " bumps " that get itchy and then quiet down. I have to resist the urge to scratch or it gets worse! I'm going to try to find a new cream at the natural living centre. Thank you - it's nice to hear what other experiences are. Oh. I'm also developing a little spot between my fingers.... > > Yes, that is fairly typical of eczema. Guest guest
I can cleanse, yes. The grains have helped stabilize my mood quite a bit though. I'm wondering if i took myself off the anti-candida diet too soon. It was just so strict it was making me irritable and more pissy than when I was off of it! Maybe a juice cleanse? hrm....I crave fruit too... > > > > So I've got a bit of a rash on my arm. Guest guest
, I'm sure you know that such a rash is a form of toxins being released through the skin. As uncomfortable as it may be, you really don't want to suppress it, because it'll just dig deeper into your body and cause worse problems elsewhere. Guest guest
Listen to your craving.. try a juice cleanse.. check the article files for which juice would be best... probably one dealing with candida.... even a water fast would be good.. Today my girlfriend decided I needed to go to lunch.. I had the best spinach salad... It was like my body was craving the spinach after the first bite... She was laughing at me cause I just kept eating and eating.. I like spinach but it was like OMG THIS IS WHAT I NEEDED feeling.. You might even try a cator oil pack on the abdomen to see if this helps.. Suzi Anne <sarahlovell@...> wrote: I can cleanse, yes. The grains have helped stabilize my mood quite a bit though. Guest guest
Hey Sharyn/ Suzi, Oh no, I dont' want to supress it, but i do wnat it to heal, and get out whatever it is that is causing it. It's spreading and interferes with me even putting my arm on a table (it's just under my forearm near my elbow) When I was candida cleansing - it didn't get worse which makes me curious. it DID get worse when I stopped the cleanse though....maybe too soon? I'll try the castor oil (have the oil, have not tried a pack yet) and maybe a cleanse. My body ahs been telling me it's time - i've just been hesitant for some reason. Been feeling really awfully confused as far as diet/nutrition goes as of late. Just felt like stopping eating all togehter - but SO will not let me just fast. Maybe worth it though... > > , I'm sure you know that such a rash is a form of toxins being released > through the skin. Guest guest
My two cents worth, it sounds like what my friend had last summer/fall in her back yard towards the woods. It was a rash on her forearm that iched like crazy, she tried every cream available until she gave up when it kept spreading and went to see the doctor. He dignosed it as an allergy from a tree leaf that they were burning up in a brush pile. The oil from this tree is very toxic to some people especially when it is allowed to permeat its mixure such as gases in burning. Do you live in a warmer climate where[sumac trees] are abundant? I am not allergic and have a huge one in my backyard. Her doc said the rash stays months if not treated with a perscription cream. Guest guest
Rita, I am in Vancouver, BC - it's quite wet here, and yes, warm. I'm not sure about sumac trees as I'm not in the woods very often. Most often at the beach or ocean front. It's not cold enough here to get snow but once or twice a winter. Hrm. I wonder what the prescription cream had in it... Thank you! > > My two cents worth, it sounds like what my friend had last > summer/fall in her back yard towards the woods.
