Dear Friends,

This is a humble call for help from all National, regional and related

agencies on behalf of all the drug users around the world, India and Manipur

State India who are given harsh penalties as a response to the issue of drug

use acknowledging that drug users are victims and not the cause of the

problem.

KYKL revokes capital punishment

This sort of incident is not new in Manipur. As we see a steep increase in

the drug use population in Manipur or the North Eastern Region of India with

new drugs, ways of use etc., this incident may be an intepretation of a

response from the community as we have failed to address - more than a

decade old epidemic of drug use in Manipur effectively.

Please help us by appealling to the relevant faculties of the Indian and

Manipur state Govt. to resolve this issue which can sabotage all our efforts

to curb drug use and HIV/AIDS in the North Eastern Region of India.
