Guest guest
Before this goes too far.............. I think the thing is here... everyone has an opinion and what works for them. Yes, the body will work on healing itself and if it doesn't have to work on digestion or anything else it will do better at healing.. that is why you're told to rest when sick... and keeping dehydrated is important... If you don't eat while you're sick the body can put it's total effort into healing. I disagree with Don (as we do from time to time) on this that nothing else helps... I believe God put vegetation on this earth for us to use. this includes fruits veggies and herbs (plants). I believe he meant for us to use these, not only to feed ourselves but to help keep our bodies in good health. Our bodies are a temple and who doe not want to keep their temple beautiful... This is done with these things. I can tell you I did not eat for a couple days after surgery..and did mostly sitting in my recliner, . drank water and tea. I also was taking comfrey... I believe the comfrey is healing the bone fusion as i was not supposed to get an increase in the weight restriction for 2-3 wks or so... I got it in one wk. I also see where the "Traumeel" is starting to help the pain so that i can rest better. But back to the not eating for several days or more... I began to get weak and needed nourishment.... Eating started helping me regain my strength and the body seemed to respond likewise... It needed some fuel to keep going also. I don't think when you're ill you need to "weight" yourself down with alot of food.... I think liquids and broths, or soups is the best.... your body can digest it but does not have to put all its efforts into that... it can keep working on healing also. Well, I just wanted to put my nickel in... I know this group has a wide variety of viewpoints and I don't want anyone to get "ticked" off with each other. As we all know, what works for one doesn't necessarily work for another. And we are all searching for what is right for each of us. Oh yes, nothing works on a corpse (come on Don....) the spirit left his house and went back home... and food and herbs and medicines don't work on a house...it is not living. Herbs havenever cured anyone and never will. Only the body has the power to healitself, anything else is a distraction from this process and thatincludes eating when sick or injured. Medicines and herbs and such haveno action on the body. The body acts on them. If you need further proofof this give some medicine or herbs to a corpse. If they truly have aneffect on the body it will affect a corpse, and I do believe you willplainly see that the corpse will not be affected by any of these. Guest guest
Foods and herbs don't work on spirits either Suzi. They don't need it. I also believe you meant to say hydrated instead of dehydrated. Keeping hydrated is important. And yes, what works for one may not work for another but that is not because this concept is based on personal belief. However, natures laws work for everyone in exactly the same way, no exceptions girl. Guest guest
I did mean hydrated...lol... no they don't work on the spirit but someone has to be in the house to maintain it. Nature's law... Did you know that Homeopathy is the branch of Medicine based on Nature's Law called 'Law of Similars'. (just a bit of info) Don, I would like to hear your explanation of "Nature's Law" (only because I've heard some variations in what everyone believes Nature's Law or natural law is) Suzi Don Eitner <mysticalherbalist@...> wrote: Foods and herbs don't work on spirits either Suzi.
