Hi all. Guess what I've got...... How'd you know?? That's right, strep. It's been going around the office, and yesterday I mentioned that I had a sore throat, so my boss insisted I see a doctor, just to make sure that if I did have it, I not only took care of myself, but didn't pass around a contagion as well. Though I must admit that I did take what they called a "Z-Pack" yesterday, for the most part I am treating it naturally. The "Pack" consisted of two sets of doses of Zythromax, ibuprophen and codeine. I am gargling with Tonic regularly, and using an herbal tea for the pain consisting of marshmallow root, mullein, white willow bark, and licorice root. And at night I added catnip, valarian and cohosh to help me sleep. But here's the wierd part (there's always one with me). They said that my tonsils were swolen. Um, I had my tonsils removed when I was around 7 years old. But there they are, and they are indeed swolen. I did some online research, and I guess if some of the tonsil is left during removal, they can grow back. I'd never heard of it that I can recall. Anyone else ever heard of this????? Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!! Have a GREAT day, y'all!!!! Peace, love, laughter I have had a perfectly wonderful evening, but this wasn't it.

Hey ,

Sorry to hear about your tonsils!

The other thing I could suggest - is a product called Lyphosot or

Lymphomyosot by HEEL. (www.heelusa.com) It is homeopathic but

encourages the drainage of your body, which would help in this case.

When my BF had mono, the homeopath gave him that, along with a bunch

of other things (including colloidal minerals..arnica (internal

homeopathic dose) and some others). It really did the trick for him.

I'm currently doing a homeopathic detox by the same company, and it

also includes that product.

I hope you can find it! They are the makers of Traumeel, which I

SWEAR by for injuries and healing after/before surgery.

Best,

Anne

Hey ,

Colloidal silver was recommended by a friend at work who knows of my

passion for healthy alternatives to drugs.

I'll look into the Lyphosot. I'm past most of the difficulties now,

as we all are in this house (yes, we all got it), but to be fore-

warned is to be fore-armed.

Thanks for the advice!

As an " aside " , y'know, I tend to put more stock in anecdotal accounts

than in " actual medical proof " . When you say you tried something and

it worked, I'll take that to the bank. When I read about

a " scientific study " , I am skeptical at least, most often dismissive.

And with all the " scientifically proven " treatments being pulled from

the market these days, is it any wonder????

Peace, love, laughter

Q: In Hawaiian, does it take more than three words to say " I love

you " ?

A: Price: No, you can say it with a pineapple and a twenty.
